Atlanta. For some reason I think Smoltz, Hudson & Hampton are better bets to win the battle of the old geizers trying to make it happen one more time contest over Delgado, Pedro and Orlando Hernandez. Got the Mets for the WC this year.

Hampton will likely be on the DL as often as Delgado, but I don't expect either to pitch very well this year. And Hudson shouldn't qualify for his geezer card just yet.

Tom Glavine will show everybody what geezers can do. Maybe even help indentify the weaknesses of the Mets' hitters and pitchers. Look for  him to prove himself all over again.

Geoff, good point about Glavine -- maybe this will be his Favre year -- I kind of wrote him off. And OK Hudson's younger than the others but definitely seen as an injury risk no? I'll be surprised if Delgado pitches better than Hampton.

I wouldn't count on Hampton for anything. He has been hurt forever and was pretty mediocre for the past five years anyway. The Mets are the pretty clear favourites here. They should have won last year and added the best pitcher in baseball without giving up anything off their roster. That said, I could see the Phillies or Braves sneaking in. Who voted for the Marlins? Scott Olsen, Serge Mitre, Andrew Miller, Mark Hendrickson et all are not going to cut it as a rotation.
