"What were they thinking?"

Is probably the best answer, because there is gonna be more action...

Is this the end of Hutch having a guaranteed spot?
Could this mean they are looking at trading Dickey?

Me thinks, that it's too early to evaluate...

But as a general signing, I like it...

I voted meh. But I am interested in "they could have done better for the money" because I cannot understand how much a player should be paid.

Ben Revere for example may get $6-7mil in arb. We will see what happens. I do not think that he is worth that. 2 of him is in the EE, Bautista range. I would non tender him.

Estrada is making about the same as Happ. Who will pitch better and how much better? Also who will be healthy for the whole season and also the duration of the contract.
Morrow and Drabek could not stay healthy.

Happ & Chavez give us 2 of our 8 man rotation that is generally needed in a season. Avoiding giving starts due to desperation to have someone on the mound is significant I believe.
