Sheffield is the obvious answer, but he's injury-prone enough that it might be reasonable for A-Rod or Thome to make up a 15-18 homer gap.
Thome gets my vote, with Sheffield a cloooose second...
Followup question ... do any of these guys become the Jim Rice of their generation and NOT make the Hall of Fame?

Sheffield does do a good job of staying in the lineup. He's had 130+ games the last 10 seasons.
Actually, the real question is whether any of these guys become the Dick Allen of their generation. They've all been much, much better hitters than Rice over their careers, but at various points a couple of them have not been the most likable people. That seems to have been the strike against Dick Allen, but in the end, there has been little doubt that all five of these guys came to play (even if they whined about it before). That was not always the case with Dick Allen.
