I picked BJ, because if he even has 50 save opportunities, that likely means the Jays are in the playoff hunt.
If Hudson is gone, Glaus had better deliver bigtime, AND be a clubhouse leader.
My "other" was offensive and defensive improvement from Russ Adams.
I used the same logic as Zao--If Ryan gets 50 saves, hopefully that means we're in the thick of the race...I realize that this logic isn't 100% but its a great indicator usually..
I went with Wells for MVP. One, it means he had a terrific year and the Jays could use a bump from him if they're going to contend. Two, it means the Jays did really well just because that's the way the voting ends up, especially in the AL.
What I find really stange is that the most probable of these scenarios (22 wins for Doc) is easily leading the voting. If you're giving me one guarantee, I'm looking for the thing I find most unlikely or most helpful... Halladay will get his 200 innings with an ERA under 3.50, I'm not at all worried about him. Most unlikely would be 162 games for Koskie. Most helpful, unless there's a new right fielder added to the roster, is for Alex Rios to become Roberto Clemente.

I voted "Other" because the individual accomplishments of this team's players mean little to me when compared with the success of the team as a whole. All that I want for Christmas is a trip to the playoffs for the Toronto Blue Jays to cap an exciting and eventful season.
Jonny is absolutely right, and I say that after having almost reflexively voted for Doc's 22 wins. (Because I just want to see Doc put together a healthy year after his two straight star-crossed campaigns.)

if eric hinske wins mvp ... wow, i can only imagine! personally i voted vernon wells mvp for the same reasons that pistol listed.
