As much as I like football and hockey, they can't compare to baseball and now I really can't wait for the season to start. On Saturday, I was lucky enough to snag a pair of tickets for a Red Sox game in April. For anyone who hasn't tried to buy tickets from the team online, they stick you in a virtual waiting room where you can pretty much wait forever. Fortunately, I had two computers at my workplace so I had double barrel action going trying to get in to buy tickets. Surprisingly, it was my second computer that hit the jackpot after waiting about 25 minutes, despite the fact I didn't log until 10:05 a.m., 5 minutes after the tickets went on sale.
I'm so looking forward to paying my first visit to Fenway Park and staring at the Green Monster. I've always wanted to go there after watching "Field Of Dreams". I really wanted to see them play the A's, just like in the movie but unfortunately, the A's don't visit the Sox on a week-end. Instead, I'll see them play the Angels and maybe see Justin Speier help close out a game or Eric Hinske subbing in for Manny. I just hope the weather holds up!
