The list of guys not making the final poll list has more talent on it than most teams' final lists do!
Apologies to (among others) Andre Dawson, Phil Cavaretta, Riggs Stephenson, Rick Reuschel, Bruce Sutter, Joe Tinker, Johnny Evers, Frank Chance (singularly or as a "trio of bearcubs fleeter than birds"), Charley Root, Fergie Jenkins, Hack Wilson, Gabby Hartnett, Stan Hack, Kiki Cuyler and many more!

It's sad.  There are probably 7 better Yankees than the best Cub.  Maybe 10.  Let's see: Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, DiMaggio, Berra, Ford,  Rivera.  A-Rod might be considered a Yank when all is said and done.  Dickey would be in on the conversation.

I'd vote Banks, although Anson was probably a better player.

All 3 of them so far ;) :)

me...... I thought about the Cubbies of my growing up years..... Banks, Williams, Santo, Jenkins but went with Cap Anson cause his numbers just look silly as in a great way.
