Obviously, this list also includes the old St. Louis Browns (but NOT the old minor league Baltimore Orioles, who eventually became the New York Yankees). What are the odds of every candidate having a last name starting with a letter of the alphabet "M" or later?

Final cuts -- Ken Williams, and okay, a couple of early-alphabet guys in Mark Belanger and Mike Cuellar ...

Only 3 votes for Murray? I find that a little shocking, at the least

I'm more surprised by the support for Frank Robinson. He spent just six years in an Orioles uniform. I'd expected Jim Palmer to have more votes than him and then to make my pick (Ripken, naturally) and find out nobody's selected Palmer? Wow.

As the Batter's Box' designated Oriole fan, I voted for Jim Palmer.

Frank Robinson was great but, as was already pointed out, not a career O. The other HoF guys are obviously great too, but if I'm starting a team and I can only have one Oriole, it's Palmer. As a consistently excellent pitcher in a 4-man rotation, he had a big impact.

If this poll was done in Baltimore, I think the top 3 in order would be Ripken, Palmer and Brooks. With older folks, Brooks might be #1. He's much beloved.

I'm shocked as well to find that all by myself  I doubled the Palmer vote.

Voted for Brooks, based mostly on world series heroics, I guess. This one is tough... I might've voted for Earl Weaver if managers were included.

I'd have to go with Palmer.  anyone remember the Just for Men ads?  classic.
