People voted that they love them? Really?

Beyond the basic level, I voted for 'what were they thinking' because they are ads that ADVERTISE THE FACT THAT PEOPLE AREN'T COMING TO GAMES!

I can't imagine a WORSE message to put in an ad.

I can't imagine a worse message either, unless they started featuring the other team's closer in their ads.  Oh wait.

Haven't seen them yet.

Asa an aside, nice to see the poll feature back in all its glory!  Is it Mick that we have to thank for finally conquering the gremlins?

Alas, no, 'tis not me, Smithers. Not sure who posted this one.

I was in the habit of posting at least one poll a week (you can check the archives) for a long time, but back in January of '09 or so, the *&^%$ poll gadget just quit working for me in the edit process. Still doesn't; I try every once in a while ...

As Alex Obal has repeated several times to me, it's better than last year's "come to a baseball game because baseball's boring!" commercials.

They're going for the funny angle, but unfortunately you have to, you know, be funny. Every time I see the commercials, I think "Get your hands off me you damn dirty Blue Jays!"

Higher ticket prices does not mean higher quality commercials.  I voted for the drugs option myself but I'd have changed to wording to "lots of drugs were involved" when they dreamed up those ads.

I can't handle the irony of those ads.  An incompetent marketing team sits around a board room, churning out a series of misguided programs to attract fans to the field ... they could probably save money on writers and just adapt the scripts from the minutes of the Jays' marketing team's meetings.

The ad takes ostensibly genderless birds and normalizes them all to be male.

Well those are my two cents thanks for reading.

I laugh hysterically whenever I see them. Haven't had the TV OFF mute though, so no idea what they say. Just hilarious looking costumes though.
