Clearly, Rick Litsch is frequenting the Box.

I voted for McG but I'd be happy with Marcum starting that game too. I'm expecting McG and Marcum to be seasoned vets by play-off time 08.

ALSO, I wouldn't be surprised if Purcey is knocking on the door then, if he hasn't already kicked it down!

Whoever's turn it is in the rotation.

Bartolo Colon.  He'll have signed for 5 million + incentives this off season and has returned to Cy Young form.  He turns out to the THE difference in the Jays making the playoffs.

It is incredible that someone will pay more for Carlos Silva and Kyle Lohse than Bartolo Colon. There's an interesting case laid out for Colon at USS Mariner.

With some consideration, I picked a healthy Chacin.  Why?  Dude has big stones.  Now, he doesn't dominate the Yankees like he owns the Sox (Chacin vs Sox is a no-brainer),  but he is very foxy and rises to the occasion.  His big-league debut in Yankee stadium and his win in Dice-K's Toronto debut come to mind.

McGowan def has better stuff, but I think sometimes confidence in that kind of situation is probably just as important.  McGowan isn't quite there yet.

Chacin...I forgot about that guy.

Marcum against the Yanks has always scared me. Gotta go with Dustin.

Actually, if he has enough rest, Scott Downs could probably do a pretty darn good job.

Chacin may indeed be the right choice - he does smell like a victory after all =)

Gotta be McGowan.  Yankees generally eat (relatively) soft tossing control righties like Marcum and Litsch for breakfast, this year's playoffs against the Byrd-man notwithstanding.  And Chacin, as hilarious as he is, hasn't pitched effectively in the bigs since 2005 (a year that looked at the time like a pretty big fluke) and is coming off a major injury.  The odds against him ever being an effect major league starter again are loooooooooooooooooooooooong....

O man that ones tough but seriously think about this one...I'm going with Marcum he was rolling last year and looked like an ace, he was simply dominant at all times where McGowan almost always had a couple of shaky innings but I think they both will turn out to be very very good young pitchers in 08.
