Cooper looks to be the hottest right now thus my vote, but I keep thinking Mills is going to break out. Like a sub 2 ERA over 165 minor league innings isn't breaking out eh? But if I had to bet on someone making the team at some point in 2009 as a regular then I'd put Mills there.

Opportunity (Marcum + McGowan injured, AJ probably gone)

Mixed with hot results so far

Advanced age (turns 24 in spring training) for a prospect

Pushed fast into the rotation

I had to say Cooper, but I actually have him at #3, ahead of JPA.  I just think Cooper's plate discipline makes him much more projectable as a star than Arencibia, position be damned.  I view catchers as more wait and see, because for every Iannetta coming through the minors, there seems to be a dozen Mathis's.

I'd have Jackson rounding out my top 5.

A smart lefty with some skills seems to be a good bet to make the most out of what he has.

I go with Mills.

Gotta be Jackson.

Jackson MAY be a (near) Gold Glove defensive SS. Offensively - he still has a way to go - I think h has a chance to make it big time.

Cooper is a bat. A very good one - but a DH at best. As a DH will he have plus plus power? I thnk not - I see him as more a Lind type guy.

I had to vote for Jackson, based on his tools. It was a toss up between him and Cooper (Ive watched them both play) and a good defensive shortstop that can swing a stick to me is more valuable than a guy who plays the corner.

I could see everyone of those players making the bigs but to me it was a tossup between Cooper and Jackson and I went with the more important defensive position. Maybe I'm just desperately hoping that we will finally have a top class shortstop like we did with Fernandez finally come through the system.
