Lansing lost by nine in a game where two hitters were hit in the head, the benches cleared, two Lugnuts were ejected, a hitter pitched and the Lugnuts made seven errors. It was one to remember, and forget. The Bisons won thanks to Brad Glenn and Shawn Hill. New Hampshire lost in extra innings. Dunedin lost despite three hits from Marcus Knecht and ten K's by Taylor Cole.

Buffalo 7 Louisville 5

A strong all-round effort for the Bisons. Brad Glenn was the main man, three hits and three RBI for the recent call-up. Jared Goedert had two hits, both doubles, and scored a pair.

Shawn Hill went six and gave up two runs. Raul Valdes pitched a clean seventh but he and John Stilson were touched for three runs in the eighth. Bobby Korecky came on for the save.

Portland 4 New Hampshire 3 - 10 innings

In a tied game in the tenth inning Ricky Bleier allowed a lead off single. He recorded two outs and then the call went out for Randy Boone. A double off Boone was the winning margin. The Fisher Cats had five hits, Matt Newman had two and Kenny Wilson scored two with a triple. Sox super-prospect Mookie Betts went 0-5.

Casey Lawrence pitched well, he wasn't helped by the defense who made four errors. Lawrence allowed three runs, two earned in 6.2 innings. Of note Dustin Antolin, who had been struggling, pitched two good innings.

Fort Myers 4 Dunedin 2

Taylor Cole was running hot and cold on Friday. He did record 10 K's and only allowed five hits. But two of the hits were home runs and Cole was charged with three runs. Justin Jackson had a mini melt-down when he entered the game and he gave up the fourth run when he hit a batter after loading the bases.

Marcus Knecht was the only hitter of note for the Jays. Knecht was 3-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored.

Lansing 7 Fort Wayne 16

There were a lot of notable events in this game. Justin Atkinson was hit in the head by a pitch in the third and left the game. Matt Dermody then hit a Tin Cap in the fourth leading to his ejection. The benches cleared after the second hit batter. The Lugnuts made seven errors and Jason Leblebijian pitched the eighth inning.

Dermody got blasted for eleven runs in less than three innings. Adaric Kelly was the best pitcher, he went two innings and gave up an unearned run. LB Dantzler hit a three run home run, DJ Davis a triple and Dawel Lugo a double.
