The affiliates were 2-2 today, highlighted by an extra inning win by Buffalo. Dwight Smith JR had a monster game against a rehabbing Cole Hamels in the FSL with Dunedin, to go along with a strong start by Daniel Norris.
Buffalo 8 – Rochester 6 (13 Innings)
In Juan Francisco’s first AAA game with the Jays he did not disappoint, as he hit 2 HR to go along with 4 RBI.
On the pitching side Kyle Drabek had a decent start lasting 5 innings giving up 3 earned runs while allowing 6 hits, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout.
New Hampshire 5 – Trenton 11
Scott Copeland was given the start and John Anderson followed him, they combined to pitch 5 innings and gave up 11 runs.
Ryan Schimpf was the lone offense star for NH, as he had 2 hits, including a double while driving in and scoring 2 runs.
Dunedin 5 – Clearwater 2
Daniel Norris was brilliant in his first start of 2014 throwing 5 innings while giving up 5 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts.
On the offensive side Dwight Smith JR had 2 HR’s off a rehabbing Cole Hamels.
Lansing 1 – Lake County 2
Dickie Thon, Mitch Nay, and Matt Dean each had 2 hits.
Starter Kendall Graveman pitched 5 scoreless innings, but unfortunately Brady Dragmire gave up 2 runs in the top of the 8th and was charged with the Loss.
