The four affiliates had seven hits, six hits, five hits and three hits. Only one of them won by scoring nine runs. And of course it was the team with three hits, New Hampshire. Their opponents had one of the greatest self harm games you could see. Vancouver's opponents Tri-City had just three hits but they scored four runs to defeat the C's. The bright spot was Trey Yesavage who struck out nine in four innings.

NOTES

The Bisons had seven hits, Michael Stefanic had two. Alejandro Kirk had two of the three RBI with a single.

Robinson Pina got the start and was charged with three runs in 2.1 innings. CJ Van Eyk pitched in relief and went five innings so it doesn't seem like a bullpen move. He was taken deep twice in his five innings. He did have seven K's.

New Hampshire scored nine runs with just three hits. The first run came from a walk, a steal and an error. The second run came from a home run by Eddinson Paulino. That was followed by an error, a steal and a single. Three runs in the eighth came via a walk, an error, another error, a hit batter and a wild pitch. New Hampshire scored three more runs in the ninth, again without a hit. Three walks, catchers interference, an error and a wild pitch. In total Chesapeake had six errors.

Trey Yesavage was excellent, nine K's in four innings. He did give up a run, a ground ball double to right, followed by an error on a bunt. The run was earned because the next hitter singled on another ground ball to right. Pat Gallagher followed and struck out four in his three innings.

Edinson Batista started for Vancouver and in the first inning he walked four hitters and hit a batter. He didn't make it out of that inning and the C's trailed 3-0. Tri-City had only three hits in the game but it was enough for the win. C's reliever Julio Ortiz struck out seven in three innings. For the season he has 51 K's in 31 innings, that's good. He also has walked 37 in those 31 innings, not so good.

The C's had just six hits by six different hitters.

Austin Cates cruised through four innings for Dunedin. But in the fifth he gave up his first two hits of the game and a walk to let in a run. he left after 4.2 and Daniel Guerra came on. The first pitch Guerra threw was deposited over the fence. 4-0 Ft Myers and Cates now had three earned runs.

The D Jays had just five hits and were unable to get back in the game.
