Notes
RJ Schreck homered and doubled and Yohendrick Piñango and Riley Tirotta also went deep for the Herd. Schreck and Tirotta had two-hit nights and Josh Kasevich singled and walked. Austin Voth went the first four innings and gave up a run on five hits with a 3-0 K/BB total. Michael Plassmeyer stranded two runners in the seventh by retiring the only two hitters he faced to get the win. Hayden Juenger worked around two hits and struck out one for the two-inning save.
Aldo Gaxiola, Blaine Bullard, JoJo Parker all went yard Adrian Pinto for the D-Jays. Brayden Heidl lasted just 2⅔ innings and gave up three runs on four hits and two walks with two whiffs to take the loss. Lluveres Severino was the only Dunedin pitcher not to give up a run as he offset a walk with two punchouts in the ninth.
Kendry Chirinos belted his first Northwest League home run and joined Maddox Latta in the two-hit club. Latta is hitting .304 in the early going. Everyone had a hit except for Arjun Nimmala who reached base on a walk but is hitting .172. Austin Cates was an out shy of five innings and struck out against one walk but the two runs he allowed resulted in getting the loss. Juanmi Vasquez stranded the bases loaded for Cates but gave up a three-run homer. Kelena Sauer put up two goose eggs and a strikeout and worked around three hits.
