Theoretically, a team with a 1.000 winning percentage should beat a team with a .000 winning percentage exactly 100% of the time.

So much for theory.

At any rate, the most interesting subplot in this game isn't the possible sweep of the Rays by the Jays. Today's plate umpire is scheduled to be none other than Phil Cuzzi. In case you haven't been around Da Box since last year, I'll direct you to this account of an infamous game from the 2003 season, this story from the following game where Josh Towers was tossed, this wrapup of the incident, and this story from last summer.

Josh Towers is on the mound for the Jays, ex-Jay Mark Hendrickson for the Mobula Hypostoma. There hasn't been any bad blood evident so far, but with Cuzzi back behind the plate there might be some lingering resentment visible. It will bear watching.
