Hill gets dirty

Well, here it is: the first Photo of the Day from this past weekend against the Nationals. I figured I'd start off with the new guy getting his pants dirty as he slides into third base:

For those interested in the technology of these things, all of the stuff against the Nationals that I'll be posting was shot on 35mm film, either Fuji's NPZ 800 or Press 1600. This one is NPZ. The film was processed with a partial bleach-skip: instead of bleaching for the full time, I ran it for about half, then used an additional fixer to give the negatives a bit of permanence. Two different cameras were used; one was a Pentax ME Super, and the other was a Pentax LX. Almost everything was shot with the legendary Pentax SMC-A* 200mm f2.8 lens with a Sigma 1.4x teleconverter.
