Travis Snider was called up to New Hampshire yesterday and went 1-5 in his debut.

You'd think that Adam Lind is next in line for a promotion as he was back from a sore neck last night and went 2-4.

Adam Lind, come on down. Or up, as its probably more appropriate. Lind was back from a stiff neck and went 2-4, raising his line to .370/.417/.630. As Buster Olney wrote, Lind felt that he was off last season, and solved the problem in the offseason, which apparently was shifting weight issue

It sure looks like Davis Romero is back. After missing the 2007 season with an arm injury he now has 13 Ks in 11.2 innings after going 4 scoreless innings giving up just a hit and walk. The one poor appearance that Romero had this season was attributed to a bad mound.

On the other hand Brandon League struggled with control. He gave up 3 walks in his 2 innings, allowing 2 runs. The ground ball was still working as 4 of the 6 outs were on the ground against one in the air (and 1 K).

The offense was led by Buck Coats who hit a 3 run homer in the 5th inning.

The Fisher Cat offense took it to Michael Bowden and the rest of the Seadog staff last night banging out 14 hits. Jacob Butler let the way going 4-5, including a HR and double. He had 5 RBIs on the night. Ryan Patterson also had 4 hits, with 2 of the hits being doubles. Anthony Hatch also chipped in with 2 doubles.

Travis Snider went 1-5 with 3 Ks in his AA debut. He'll DH until his shoulder is ready to play the OF. At that point it'll be interesting to see who gets squeezed as NH already has 4 OFs who are splitting time and DHing.

Scott Richmond was the benefactor of good run support, getting the win after 5 innings. He gave up 5 hits and 4 walks. Seth Overbey pitched three scoreless innings before Daryl Harang came on in the ninth to close things out.

Dunedin 4 at Sarasota 8

In his second game this year Matt Lane hit a HR as part of a 2-4 night. JP Arecibia and Jesus Gonzalez each had two hits.

Peoira 3 at Lansing 6

Kyle Ginley lowered his ERA to 1.19 giving up no earned runs (1 unearned) in 5 innings. He had 3 Ks and 2 BBs on the night. Ginley should be heading to Dunedin by midseason.

Moises Sierra and Darin Mastroianni each hit solo home runs for the Nuts. 2007 draftees Jackson, Ahrens, and McDade each had a hit while Tolisano had 2 walks.

3 Stars!:
3 - Davis Romero
2 - Ryan Patterson
1 - Jacob Butler
