Four wins, New Hampshire won behind a very good start by Brett Cecil and a home run from JP Arencibia.  Lansing won with a good start by Marc Rzepczynski, ably supported by Edgar Estanga and Tim Collins.  Syracuse won with an average start from Davis Romero, Kevin Mench finally showed up and hit a home run.  Dunedin did not get good pitching but won anyway.  Auburn got good pitching from Joel Carreno but lost.  The GCL Jays lost, again.

Toledo 2  Syracuse 8

Syracuse got on the board in the first, two walks were followed by rbi singles from Matt Watson and Hector Luna.  The Chiefs added two more in the third, again a walk was followed by a home run from Kevin Mench.  Davis Romero was pitching out of trouble all night although he only allowed one run.  Six hits and five walks in 5.2 innings equals a lot of pitching out of the stretch, although three double plays helped.

Buck Coats doubled in a run in the fifth, Eric Kratz doubled in a run in the sixth and Watson hit a two run home run in the seventh.

The Chiefs had nine hits, Watson and Luna had two each.

New Hampshire 3 New Britain 1

Brett Cecil pitched five shutout innings, five hits, one walk, four K's.  Jean Machi provided two shutout innings, and Zach Dials pitched a perfect ninth.  Jared Gothreaux and Jo Matumoto combined to allow one run in the eighth.

New Hampshire scored one run in the second, Travis Snider, Jacob Butler and Anthony Hatch each singled.  JP Arencibia homered to make it 2-0 in the fourth and in the seventh Jacob Butler led off with a triple and scored on a sac fly.

New Hampshire hitters had eight hits, Snider, Butler and Hatch had two each.  Scott Campbell had the night off.

Dunedin 7  Brevard County 6

Brian Dopirak hit a two run home run in the first inning but Reidier Gonzalez was not at his best and Dunedin trailed 4-2 after six.  In the seventh Luis Sanchez and Adam Calderone singled.  They were followed by three errors, scoring two, then Jesus Gonzalez doubled in two more.  Brevard made it 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh before the teams exchanged solo home runs in the eighth, Dunedin's came from Calderone.

Dunedin had ten hits, Calderone had 3, Brad Emaus and Dopirak had two each.

Great Lakes 1  Lansing 2

Marc Rzepczynski pitched five innings and allowed one run on four hits.  Edgar Estanga pitched three shutout innings and Tim Collins pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

Jon Jaspe hit a  solo home run in the first inning and in the third Jaspe hit a sac fly after Eiland had singled and Tolisano doubled.

Jaspe had three hits, Eiland had two.

Mahoning Valley 6  Auburn 4

Auburn jumped out to a 6-4 lead, Adam Amar hit a solo home run and Brian Van Kirk hit a three run shot.  Meanwhile Joel Carreno pitched very well, five shutout innings with only three hits allowed.  Marcus Walden replaced Carreno and gave up five runs in the seventh and eight innings, and Jason Monti allowed the sixth run in the ninth.

Amar was 3-4 and Chris House was 2-3.

GCL Tigers 14  GCL Jays 3

Henderson Alvarez and Tyler Kelsey accounted for most of the damage.  Nate Nelson and Kyle Gilligan had two hits each.  The baby Jays had five steals.
