Sorry, folks;  Life and work got in the way of a full minor league recap.  Here's an abbreviated look at Wednesday which was actually a good night.  3 games, 3 wins, all in the final at-bat.  Too bad the big club blew it.

New Orleans 1    Las Vegas 3

Randy Ruiz
drove in two in the bottom of the 8th for the win.  Travis Snider was 1-for-4 with a strikeout and an RBI.  J.P. Arencibia was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts.

Brian Burres started and pitched well going 7 with nine strikeouts.  Jeremy Accardo worked the ninth for the save.

Portland 6    New Hampshire 7

A walk-off win for the Cats thanks to an Adam Calderone single.  Calderone was 3-for-4 with two runs, 3 RBI and a double.  David Cooper was 2-for-5 with a double, run and RBI.  Brad Emaus went 0-for-5.

Reidier Gonzalez got rocked over 3.1 giving up six runs on six hits.  But the bullpen picked him up with 5.2 shutout frames.  Danny Farquhar went two innings and struck out four.

Dunedin 3    Sarasota 2

With two out and nobody on in the ninth, Dunedin was trailing 2-1.  Justin Jackson drew a walk and was followed by a two-run HR by Chris Emanuele.  Nice.  Jackson reached base all four times going 2-for-2 with a 2B, 3B and two walks.

Andrew Liebel was excellent in his 6.2 allowing two runs on three hits and two walks to go against 6 strikeouts.  Tim Collins went 1.1 and struck out two.   Zach Dials worked the ninth for the save.

Lansing was rained out.

Three Stars:

3rd Star: Adam Calderone; 3-for-4, 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI, walk-off single

2nd Star: Andrew Liebel; 6.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K

1st Star: Justin Jackson; 2-for-2, 2B, 3B, R, 2 BB
