Everyone won (seriously, the affiliates actually had a collectively-solid night) except the young kids in the Gulf Coast League... and they lost in extra innings.

Las Vegas 4 Tacoma 1

Marc Rzepczynski was in fine form during his triple-A debut. The left-hander allowed just two hits and three walks in 5.2 innings, while striking out nine batters. Bryan Bullington worked 1.1 scoreless innings, and Brian Wolfe worked a scoreless inning. Jonah Bayliss gave up Tacoma's only run in two-thirds of an inning. Offensively, Jonathan Diaz, Michael Barrett, and Randy Ruiz had two hits a piece. Ruis had a double and a triple.JP Arencibia went 0-for-4 with two Ks.

New Hampshire 4 Reading 3

Marty McLeary received the start but allowed two runs on five hits and four walks in 3.2 innings of work. Celson Polanco relieved him and pitched 2.1 scoreless innings with just one hit allowed and four Ks. Dan Farquhar pitched two innings, allowed one run and struggled with his control and walked two batters. Adrian Martin recorded his second save with a scoreless ninth inning. At the plate, Todd Donovan went 3-for-4 with a double and a walk. Brian Dopirak continued his hot streak and went 2-for-4 with a double. Brad Emaus was 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored. Brian Jeroloman went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer.

Dunedin 12 Brevard County 1

Kenny Rodriguez contined to show he's so over high-A ball (1.97 ERA on the season). He allowed just one run on six hits and one walk over five innings of work. The right-hander struck out four batters. Alan Farina worked a scoreless inning and struck out one. Kyle Ginley worked two scoreless innings but allowed three hits and a walk with no Ks. Trystan Magnuson finished the game. Offensively, Raul Barron went 3-for-5 with a triple and six RBI. Sean Shoffit, Kevin Ahrens, and Manny Rodriguez each had two hits. The latter prospect drove in three runs, while Ahren plated two. Adam Loewen went 1-for-1 with four walks and scored three runs. Justin Jackson was 1-for-2 three walks and two runs scored.

Lansing - All-Star Break

Auburn 9 Jamestown 4

Auburn's bats finally woke up, led by Welinton Ramirez, who went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. Brad Glenn also had three hits, while also scoring two runs and driving in two. Jack Murphy continued his hot hitting and had two hits, including a double. Canadian Randy Schwartz went 1-for-5 but his one hit was a two-run home run. In four games in his pro career, he has three hits - all homers. Jonathan Fernandez went 2-for-5 with a run scored. On the mound, Egan Smith had a nice debut with just one run allowed in four innings. He allowed four hits, one walk and struck out four. Matt Wright worked four innings and allowed just one unearned run on three hits. He struck out four. Steven Turnbull worked the finally inning and allowed two runs.

GCL Phillies 2 GCL Jays 1 (10 innings)

Juan Hernandez had a dazzling North American debut. The southpaw worked five innings and allowed just one unearned run. He allowed two hits, no walks and struck out eight batters. Nestor Molina allowed two hits in one inning, but he struck out the side. Lance Loftin worked two shutout innings and struck out three. Shawn Griffith gave up a run in one+ innings of work to take the extra-innings loss and Matt Fields finished the 10th inning by recording the final three outs. The Jays hitters managed just three hits. Nick Zaleski, Brad McElroy and Gustavo Pierre each had one hit. Pierre made two errors in the field and Michael Crouse stole a base.
