Rehabbing Jayson Nix saw action in the opener of Dunedin’s doubleheader in the FSL, going 0 for 4 against Ft. Myers.  Lansing's contest vs. Great Lakes was suspended due to rain in the third inning. Dunedin swept and New Hampshire split in their respective twin bills against Ft. Myers and Reading , while late night Las Vegas lost at the hands of Albuquerque due to a brutal five-run 2nd inning rout of Scott Richmond.

Las Vegas 3  Albuquerque 8

10, 202 Cashman Field faithful suffered Scott Richmond’s second loss (2 IP, 4 H, 5 R, 4 BB, 2 Ks), which included a five-run 2nd inning that saved Albuquerque from a sweep of the series by the 51s.  Chad Cordero, Clint Everts and Winston Abreu provided the 3 run relief, allowing a combined 7 hits in 7 IP.  While all of the Isotopes’ runs were earned, Eric Thames (0 for 3, 3Ks) and Travis Snider (0 for 5, K) had fielding errors, and Adam Loewen (0 for 2, 2 BB) tossed in a throwing error.

The 51s couldn’t rise at the plate to overcome the  2nd inning  five-run disaster, but they did manage to put three up on the board with RBIs from Brett Lawrie (1 for 4, R, HR, BB, K, RBI) with a solo homer and Manny Mayorson (1 for 4, 2 RBIs) a two-run single in the 8th.  Jonathan Diaz (2 for 3, BB) and Ryan Budde (2 for 3, R) turned in the only multi-hit performances for Las Vegas.  Dewayne Wise (1 for 4) chipped in a single.
