And McGuire Bretts Tampa?

Colorado Springs 0 at Las Vegas 3

Brett Cecil, take a bow. The lefty absolutely dominated Colorado Springs on Monday night. Check this out: 9 innings. 4 hits. 2 walks. 7 strikeouts. 0 runs. 12 ground outs. 3 fly outs. Can you ask for anything more?

I almost don't even want to mention the offense so as not to deflect any attention from Cecil's gem. Nobody reached base more than once, and Kevin Howard hit a solo homer.

New Hampshire - scheduled day off

Tampa 1 at Dunedin 2

Tampa got off to a good start, scoring in the top of the first on a walk and two singles. For the next six innings, they had just three more base-runners, none of which advanced past first base, as Deck McGuire pitched a brilliant game to garner the win. McGuire allowed just three hits and two walks in seven innings, and struck out eight. Matt Wright and Wes Etheridge were perfect over the final two frames to close out the 2-1 victory.

The offense didn't do much, but they managed to eke out just enough to win. Kevin Nolan had two hits including a double.

Lansing - scheduled day off

DSL Blue Jays 1 at DSL Tigers 2

Gabriel Cenas went 0-1 with a walk and was lifted for a pinch-runner in the 8th.

Three Stars!
3. Kevin Howard - a homer!
2. Deck McGuire - 7 IP, 1 ER, 8 K
1. Brett Cecil - complete game shutout
