There were some ugly lines on Sunday. Three Bison pitchers combined to turn a 4-0 lead into an 8-4 deficit in the eighth inning. Andy Burns made an error in the inning that helped negate his first AAA home run. That inning also lost the win for Felix Doubront who pitched six strong innings. The Fisher Cats made four errors and allowed five unearned runs. Dunedin gave up seven runs, three of them unearned and Lansing pitchers gave up 20 hits. On the bright side Rowdy Tellez hit a home run and Anthony Alford reached base three times, Derrick Loveless had three hits.

Buffalo 5 Toledo 8

Buffalo led 4-0 heading to the bottom of the eighth. Colt Hynes put a couple of men on so Bobby Korecky came into the game. Korecky gave up three hits and a walk while only getting one out. He could have had a second out but Andy Burns made an error. Now down 6-4, Luis Perez was called on but he also gave up a double and a sac fly and the Bisons were down 8-4. A consolation run in the ninth made it a 8-5 final.

Feliex Doubront had an excellent start. He pitched six innings, a three hitter with two walks and three strikeouts. Chris Dickerson was 3-5, Andy Burns was 2-5 with his first AAA home run, a three run shot.

Altoona 11 New Hampshire 3

New Hampshire made four errors leading to five unearned runs. Casey Lawrence hung in for a while but 11 hits in less than four innings leads to trouble, he was charged with nine runs, four earned.

Matt Newman and Shane Opitz each had two hits. Dwight Smith had an oh-fer and his .300 average is gone again.

St Lucie 7 Dunedin 4

Justin Shafer has had an up and down start to his time in the FSL. Sunday was a down day, he was charged with six runs, although only three of them were earned. Jeremy Gabryszwski pitched three innings in relief and he put seven runners on but escaped with one run allowed.

Derrick Loveless was 3-4 with a walk and two RBI. Loveless was hitting over .300 for much of April but has struggled recently. Boomer Collins also had two hits.

Fort Wayne 12 Lansing 7

Lansing surrendered 20 hits to Fort Wayne. Colton Greene gave up nine hits, Starlyn Suriel seven and Colton Turner four. Lansing were down 11-5 in the fifth.

Rwody Tellez hit his sixth home run to tie Richard Urena. Urena had two hits and two RBI. Anthony Alford walked twice and had a hit.
