All five affiliates held a lead at one point but only two wound up in the winner's circle Tuesday.

Buffalo 14 Syracuse 1

Home runs by Kevin Smith, Cullen Large, Richard Ureņa, Tyler White and Alejandro Kirk powered the Herd to an easy win over the Mets. Kirk had four hits and Large had three, finishing a triple short of the cycle. Riley Adams doubled, singled and walked and Kevin Smith also had two hits and a base on balls.

Bowden Francis had a no-hitter going until Albert Almora Jr. homered to start the seventh. Francis walked just two hitters and struck out seven over seven innings. Tyler Chatwood and Travis Bergen worked a shutout frame apiece.


Reading 9 New Hampshire 8

The Fisher Cats pissed away 6-0 and 7-6 leads in their loss to the Fightin' Phillies. Jordan Groshans had three hits and a walk while Otto Lopez got on base five times with a double, three walks and a hit by pitch. Chavez Young homered and walked while Reggie Pruitt had two hits, two RBI and two stolen bases. Austin Martin drew three walks. Vinny Capra singled and walked.

Maximo Castillo pitched four shutout innings but gave up a three-run homer in the fifth, finishing an out shy of five innings. He gave up five hits and three walks while striking out four. Will McAffer, Brody Rodning and Emerson Jimenez all gave up runs with Jimenez getting the loss. Jon Harris pitched 1-1/3 scoreless frames.


Everett 6 Vancouver 5 (11 Innings)

The C's fought back from 3-2 and 5-3 deficits but came up short against the Mariners affiliate. All five Vancouver hits came from the top three in the order with Luis De Los Santos hitting a leadoff homer while Tanner Morris and Spencer Horwitz had two hits apiece. Morris drove in three. Philip Clarke and D.J. Neal walked twice.

Paxton Schultz allowed 13 baserunners on 10 hits, two walks and a plunk over five innings but only gave up three runs, two of them coming on a home run. He struck out four. Sean Mellen and Justin Maese combined for four shutout innings in relief. Cobi Johnson gave up three runs in extra innings to take the loss.

Lakeland 7 Dunedin 3

Dunedin was up 3-1 after one inning before the Tigers affiliate scored six unanswered runs. Harrison Ray and Steward Berroa had two-hit nights with Ray stealing his 14th base and Berroa swiping bags 26 and 27. P.K Morris, Zach Britton and Addison Barger had doubles with Morris and Britton taking one for the team. Hugo Cardona singled, walked and stole a base. Dasan Brown was 0-for-5 and Orelvis Martinez was 0-for-4 with a walk.

Naswell Paulino was nicked for three runs (two earned) on three hits, including a two-run dinger in three innings. He walked one and struck out five. Wilgenis Alvardo took the loss as he was charged with four runs (three earned) and had a WHIP of 3.00 on seven hits and five walks over four innings. Elixon Caballero pitched two shutout frames.


FCL Blue Jays 6 FCL Tigers East 3

J.J. D'Orazio's three-run home run in the fifth inning capped off a four-run rally as the FCL Jays came from behind to win their 10th game in 16 tries. Jhon Solarte's sacrifice fly tied the game before D'Orazio's dinger. Rainer Nunez had a three-hit day that included two doubles and Gabriel Martinez also put three notches in the hit column. Will Robertson went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored. Jose Rivas had a hit and was plunked. Rikelvin De Castro had a double.

Colton Laws struck out one in a 1-2-3 first inning.Bejardi Meza worked around a hit, a hit by pitch and two walks to put up a couple of bagels. Kendry Rojas served up a two-run dinger and gave up three runs on three hits and two walks with two punch outs over 1-2/3 innings. The win went to Guillermo Villasmil who stranded two runners and pitched 2-1/3 shutout innings of two-hit ball with one walk and one whiff.
