Four First Homers

There hasn't been a whole lot to get excited about, or write about, this week on the farm. So I am happy to report that Sunday did bring some news. Four players hit their first home runs of the season. And Orelvis hit his third. Overall it was two wins and two losses but some offenses woke up.

Spencer Horwitz and Rafael Lantigua each hit their first home runs of the season for Buffalo. Horwitz was 2-5 with three RBI. Lantigua was 1-2 with 3 walks and two RBI. Ernie Clement also had two hits and two RBI.


Because Tuesdays game was moved to a Wednesday doubleheader Buffalo had a bullpen day. Hayden Juenger went 2.1 shutout innings. He struck out four and gave up three hits. Juenger gave up hits in his first two appearances but in his last four he has thrown 7.2 innings, seven hits, 2 walks, eleven K's and no runs. Luis Quinones made his AAA debut and gave up a run in 2.2 innings.


Orelvis Martinez hit a three run home run in the first inning. He now has five hits this season, three home runs and two singles. he has also walked five times. Sem Robberse was good through four innings but ran into trouble in the fifth. He was charged with three runs in that inning, four overall, and only had one strikeout.


For Vancouver Cade Doughty hit his first home run of the season. He added a double. Alan Roden decided to join the club and he hit his first, a 2 run shot, in the fifth inning. He added a single.


The D Jays had ten hits. Glenn Santiago had a three run triple in the eighth to break it open. Santiago was 2-3 with a walk. Robert Robertis and Adrian Pinto also had two hits each.
