I'd assume Francis will start on Friday - Francis was broken in last year with 2/3 IP giving up 1 hit and getting 1 K. This year he had 1 game in Dunedin, plus 4 starts in AAA 15 2/3 IP, 17 H 7 R 6 ER 4 HR (3 in one start before going on the IL) 4 BB 23 SO 1 WP 1 HBP. 2 starts in AAA, then was hurt, 1 A start to rehab, then 2 more in AAA. His last start was 4 2/3 IP 7 H 3 R/ER 1 BB 4 SO.
Part of me wonders if Francis will start or just be used in long relief for now, making Saturday a bullpen day. His last start was May 31st so he is ready to pitch tonight.
