The Buffalo Bisons led 14-6 headed to the ninth inning and they brought in Trevor Schwecke to finish the game. He did gave up a couple of runs but saved an inning for the bullpen. One of the reasons they needed pitching help was that Jimmy Robbins was used in relief. He threw 20 pitches, one strike and 19 balls, and didn't get an out. New Hampshire lost a game they were winning. Dunedin won, scoring 10 runs. Hamilton's Bryce Arnold had a big game. Vancouver were blown out.

NOTES

Mitch White started for Buffalo and went three innings. He ony gave up one run but he had seven baserunners, four hits and three walks. Jimmy Robbins came out of the bullpen here and it didn't work. He threw 20 pitches, one strike and 19 balls. He walked four and hit a batter.

The story of the game was the Bisons bats, 16 hits and every starter had one. Seven hitters had two hits. Rafael Lantigua had an unusual line, one hit, four RBI. He had two sac flies and three walks.

Steward Berroa, Alan Roden and Riley Tirotta homered for New Hampshire. Rainer Nunez had three hits, Roden, Damiano Palmegiani and Jorge Sosa had two each.

Abdiel Mendoza started and gave up three runs in 4.2 innings. With the trades of pitchers the Jays have had to signed some free agent pitchers to fill in. Two of them gave up five runs and turned a 5-3 lead into an 8-6 loss.

Three Vancouver pitchers gave up ten runs between them. The C's had just five hits, Dasan Brown had two.

CJ Van Eyk started for Dunedin and he did run into some trouble. He was charged with five runs over three innings. Van Eyk's fastball averaged 92.5. He only got two whiffs on 22 swings which is not good. Is it part of his TJ recovery or has he lost something with the surgery? Connor O'Halloran made his pro debut and threw two innings. He walked one and struck out one. O'Halloran threw just one 4 seam fastball, he mainly threw sliders and changeups. Maybe he is working on those pitches. Michael Brewer finished up, he had 13 whiffs on 26 swings.

The Jays had 12 hits. Undrafted free agent Bryce Arnold hit his first pro home run. He also singled and doubled and drove in four runs. Arnold has had three multi hit games in his last four. Roque Salinas had three hits too, he is having a nice second half of the season, hitting .380 in August having hit .292 in July. Braden Barry and Tucker Toman had two hits each.
