Hey, I had to use that headline at least once. Yesavage had eight K's in six shutout innings in his highly touted matchup against Phillies prospect Andrew Painter. Arjun Nimmala homered again in Vancouver's loss. Buffalo had a nice win while New Hampshire lost in extra innings.

NOTES

Two Buffalo catchers, Ali Sanchez and Christian Bethancourt each hit three run home runs.

Easton Lucas and Jacob Barnes combined to pitch 7.1 innings, four hits allowed. Eric Pardinho got the last five outs, three via strikeout.

The New Hampshire game was a pitching contest, four of the eight runs came in the tenth inning. Rafael Sanchez had another good start, 5.2 innings, six hits, two walks, three K's, one run. Through five starts Sanchez has a 1.35 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. The K's are a little light, 24 in 26.2 innings. Sanchez made four starts in AA last season with a 2.28 ERA. Give him another month in AA and then have him take a shot in AAA.

Charles McAdoo hit his first home run of the season. Teams in the northeast are finally seeing some OK weather. The weather hasn't been a problem for Yohendrick Pinango, he had two hits, his third multi hit game in a row and he is hitting .325.

Vancouver have a fifth starter problem. Kevin Miranda started, took the loss, as the C's gave up 12 runs. It's a problem that a certain Trey Yesavage could solve. Arjun Mimmala had two of the C's six hits. One was his sixth home run of the season.

Thursday's Dunedin game was the pitching highlight of the night, Trey Yesavage versus Phillies prospect Andrew Painter. Yesavage and the Jays came out on top. Yesavage threw six shutout innings, four hits, no walks, eight K's. Yesavage went so long that Gage Stanifer only threw two innings. Stanifer was not at his best, 50 pitches, two hits and two walks in two innings.

Two hitters who have spent a lot of time in Dunedin, Manny Beltre and Tucker Toman, each homered off Painter.
