In an interesting little article at SABR-L, researcher Michael Mavrogiannis has shared his research into the leaders in wins in each major league ballpark (since 1920). It turns out that the current leader in wins at SkyDome is Pat Hentgen, with 47.

Dave Stieb, of course, leads all pitchers in wins at Exhibition Stadium with 73. The most wins by any pitcher in any park since 1920 is Steve Carlton, with 138 wins at Veterans Stadium. Jim Palmer is second with 134 wins at Memorial Stadium, and Carl Hubbell third with 133 wins in the Polo Grounds.

Roy Halladay currently has 34 career wins at SkyDome, in case you were interested (yes, I counted... thanks, Retrosheet).

And now for the ULTIMATE TWO-PART EXPOS TRIVIA QUESTION.

Name the career leaders in wins at (a) Olympic Stadium and (b) Jarry Park.

My guess is (a) Steve Rogers and (b) Steve Rogers. That's just a guess, though. I have no idea.

No, Mike, sorry.

Remember folks, *both* parts must be correct.

Well, my guess would be

a) Dennis Martinez

b) Bill Stoneman

I'll split the difference and go with (a) Rogers (b) Stoneman

Nobody here knows me, but I've just discovered BB and will be visiting it a lot. My guess:

Jarry Park - Steve Rogers
The Big Owe - Dennis Martinez

I'm with Ryan F on this one.... that was my guess.

No, no, no, and no.

Good guesses guys, but no one has got it yet except Jordan, who e-mailed me the correct answer (obviously after much soul-searching).

Incidentally, one of the two correct persons hasn't even been named yet.

This wouldn't have been my first guess, but by a process of elimination:

Steve Rogers and Steve Renko

obviously after much soul-searching.

You mean much Baseball-Reference searching. :-)

It was my second guess. Just ask Craigers. It has to be someone named Steve. If it's not Renko, it's Steve Carlton. The Expos did lose a few games to the Phillies back then. :)

Cheers,

Mike

Congratulations Gwyn!

Steve Rogers had 64 wins in Olympic Stadium, while Steve Renko had 40 wins at Parc Jarry.
