The essentials : we're meeting tonight at SkyDome at 6:45pm in front of Gate 6. There are still free tickets left, let me know by posting in this thread if you need one or two. We will be sitting in Section 528, Rows 6, 7 and 8, so if you have bought your own ticket, come on over and join us.

The pitching matchup is Pedro Martinez versus Roy Halladay. This could be one you'll tell your grandchildren about... don't miss it.

We will meet in front of Gate 6 on the southeast corner of the Dome. Look out for me... the short, round guy with the beard (and hopefully the knot of folks surrounding him). I'll have a green jacket, a blue shirt, green trousers, and a grey flat cap.

Here's who is confirmed currently (23 in total, I believe):

I can't wait; it's a perfect night to start a winning streak. I'll be there early, so I'll meet everyone upstairs at game time.

And I'll be late, showing up around 7:30 or so. Keep the game warm for me. ;)

I sure wish I could be in Toronto tonight to catch the game with you! Oh well. Anyways, I'm stuck in Chicago - I'll be going to see the Jays when they visit the White Sox at the end of the month. Is there any reason why Roy wouldn't be scheduled to start on Friday, April 30th? I really want to see him pitch a game!

I'd be there, but I have an exam tomorrow and I'm stuck in Kingston. I wish I could see the game on TV, but with Game 7 that's not likely either.

We'll need some atmosphere from you guys, the place will be pretty dead tonight.

Geoff, I'm in Chicago too. It's too bad the only 4 days the Jays are in town is the weekend my brother's getting married. He obviously didn't consult me for the planning! We could have gotten a few other local Jays fans and hit it up together. But I've seen the Jays play the White Sox for the past few years-it's a fun time-and it's always fun rooting for the road team too. Wish I could go this year (to those games or any of the ones in Toronto in the near future)! Have fun tonight. At least there's always MLB.TV!

Make fun of Pedro's fro. Something with "Pefro" would be fairly funny.

How about:

PEDRO: da 'FRO - gotta GO, BRO!

Bah, work intrudes. Sorry gentlemen, no banner tonight.

However, I'm bringing the Big Blue Horn.

Andrew, yes, there's one (or two) available! Come on down!
_Matthew E - Tuesday, April 20 2004 @ 11:02 PM EDT (#71534) #
Thanks, Craig, for setting this up. A ballgame's always a pleasure regardless of the outcome, and the Jays weren't quite as pathetic as I was worried they were going to be. My father and I had a good time, and it was good seeing everyone again.
