So, I didn't get to hear the game, and I got to see about thirty seconds of one-camera highlights on Sportsnet News last night. Not a lot to base a game report on.

And that's why I'm cheaping out!

That's right, kids, it's time to Make Your Own Roundup! Post 'em if you got 'em.

Faithful Bauxite Kevin Pataky pointed out this morning that the mascot of the D-Rays has promised a win on Opening Day -- if the Rays don't beat the Jays, everyone in the stands will get tickets to another game and free hamburgers. Personally, I think they should start warming up the grill now.

Fascinating article by Elliot. "Employee angry after being fired."
Interesting background on the draft loophole, but I have no idea how it's relevant now. (beyond, of course, Elliot's traditional "the Blue Jays are mean people now.")

I just got my tickets for the Jays game 4/21 against the Yankees. Aisle 125, Row 8, seats 5 & 6. In looking at pictures on SeatData.com I can see there are 17 seats across the section. Assuming the first seat on the aisle is 100, these seats must be behind the U and the E in BLUEJAYS written on top of their dugout. Can anyone confirm row 8 as the first row and my assumption about location? Thanks.

Hmmn, the article does reveal Koch's penchant for wearing costumes - and the fact that he'll be going to the game with a sign reading go Devil Rays. And he's no longer pitching for the Jays. Hmmmn. Maybe he is the new Rays Mascot?

That article is hilarious. I'd be pissed off too if I was Koch. I can't wait to see all the kids and their Go Devil Rays signs ;)

Here is an interesting article from the Montreal Gazette regarding the future of Youppi!

Woo Hoo I'm happy the Jays will be playing at least in front of 200 fans next Tuesday!!!

BTW Harvey got sent down to the minors yesterday and the Pickering era is about to begin.

BA has their organizational rankings out. The Jays came in at 15 with the usual BA comments (lots of solid players, no high end players).

The SI Baseball preview is out.

They have the Jays finishing 4th in the AL East and 20th overall.

I'm suprised they picked them to finish higher than the M's.

I'd be pissed off too if I was Koch.

I would too, since if I'm Billy Koch I can't pitch worth a damn anymore. That would piss me off.

His agent should really give him a call, though, and tell him to quiet down about the fact he won't try to pitch for another team. A fairly dicey thing to say from a legal standpoint...

Koch has the additional burden of trying to figure out how to spend almost $1M. Lot of sleepless nights there.
