Four members of the Vancouver Canadians are heading to Spokane for the Northwest League/Pioneer League All-Star game in Spokane August 4.


First baseman Justin Atkinson is one of two Canadian Canadians taking part in the All-Star Game. The Surrey, B.C. native won the NWL Player of the Week award last week and was a Northwest League All-Star back in 2013. The 22 year-old right-handed hitter is batting .313/.329/.463 with two home runs and 20 runs batted in.




The other Canadian Canadian All-Star is closer Andrew Case. The pride of Saint John, New Brunswick was a 2014 NWL All-Star and has recorded seven saves in eight chances while posting a 3.12 earned run average in 17-1/3 innings.The 22 year-old righty has struck out 14 and walked five.


Lefthander Brandon Hinkle has won both of his decisions with an ERA of 0.84 over 21-1/3 innings. The 24 year-old from Lancaster, Pennsylvania has a 18-14 K/BB total but has limited hitters to a .174 batting average.


Sean Hurley has slugged .485 by belting seven home runs and driving in 17. The 23 year-old righthanded batter from Sarasota, Florida is second in the NWL in homers. He has the distinction of launching the first home run into The Porch in left field at Nat Bailey Stadium to help the C's win on Opening Night.

Congratulations to Justin Atkinson, Andrew Case, Brandon Hinkle and Sean Hurley for earning All-Star berths. Before they head to Spokane, the C's are in Boise, Idaho today for the start of a five-game series against the Rockies affiliate. Their next home game is August 6 against Spokane.
