Please don't Bristol at the headline! The affiliates took three out of five Monday. Buffalo's game with Rochester was rained out and will be made up on Thursday as part of a doubleheader. Bluefield's home game against Pulaski was also washed away and they'll play a double dip today. New Hampshire and Lansing had the night off.

Dunedin, FL - Dunedin made three runs in the fourth stand up for the victory against the Reds affiliate. Boomer Collins was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring in the first run before Mike Reeves came up with a two-run single. The only other Dunedin hits came from Collins and Jason Leblebijian. Andy Fermin earned a pair of walks while Dickie Joe Thon, L.B. Dantzler and Derrick Loveless also drew free passes. Anthony Alford and Matt Dean were both hitless in his four plate appearances with Alford striking out twice and Dean getting the hat trick.
Shane Dawson (1-1, 3.27) turned in your exactly average start according to Game Score. The Canadian lefty put up a 50 after pitching 5-1/3 innings of two-run ball on six hits to go with a K-BB total of 5-3. Of his 10 outs in play, four were on the ground. Arik Sikula worked around a hit and a walk to put up two scoreless frames with two strikeouts for the hold. Wil Browning got the final five outs, three by strikeout, for his 17th save of the season.
Everett 4 Vancouver 2
Vancouver, BC - The C's were six outs away from victory but could not hold on against the Mariners affiliate. Evan Smith lasted seven-plus innings but the plus was the problem as he served up a game-tying home run. Fellow southpaw Bob Wheatley (1-1) came in and got out of the eighth unscathed after Connor Panas threw out a runner at second from left field to erase a single. Wheatley was one strike away from getting out of the ninth but a single and a throwing error by Andrew Guillotte in center field led to a pair of runs. Wheatley allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and an intentional walk with one strikeout. That overshadowed a decent effort from Smith, who scattered eight hits and a walk while striking out two. Of his 12 outs in play, seven were taken care of by the infielders. Smith was up to 92 miles per hour on the radar gun while Wheatley touched 91.
Smith got some help from his batterymate Ryan Hissey, who threw out two runners trying to steal second. Guillotte also contributed a pair of assists from center, starting an 8-2-6-4 play to get a runner at second to end the third inning and started an 8-3 double play to bail Smith out of the sixth. Carl Wise had a strong game at third, diving to rob Alex Jackson of a potential double down the left field line to start the second inning. Wise also cut down a runner trying to score in the ninth with a 5-2 play.

GCL Blue Jays 7 GCL Pirates 2 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)
Bradenton, FL - The Pirates scored first and last but they didn't score the most as the Jays scored seven straight runs to wipe out a 3-0 deficit. Kalik May brought one in the painful way by getting hit with the bases loaded to put the Jays ahead for good in the sixth. Reggie Pruitt would follow with an RBI single and Jake Thomas would single in two more for a four-run rally. Pruitt plated the first run with a fielder's choice in the fifth, followed by a Lance Jones RBI single. Pruitt would score from third after Jones was caught stealing second. Jones, Thomas and Bryan Lizardo all had two hits with Jones and Thomas both earning walks and Lizardo getting a double. Juandy Mendoza also reached base three times with a single and two walks. May added a walk to go with his plunk. Danny Jansen saw his first game action since late May by going 0-for-2. Javier Hernandez replaced him behind the plate and went 1-for-2. Nash Knight was 0-for-4.
Denis Diaz (4-0, 2.48) hung around long enough to get the win after getting dinged for three runs in the first. That was all he allowed on six hits and a walk. He struck out six and collected six groundball outs. Mike Estevez was emilioed for a run on two hits and a walk in the sixth but did strike out a pair. Griffin Glaude walked one but struck out two in the seventh for his third save.
GCL Pirates 5 GCL Blue Jays 1 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)
Bradenton, FL - The Bucs scored five times off Osman Gutierrez (2-3, 6.15) to avert the doubleheader sweep. Gutierrez gave up seven hits, a walk and a hit by pitch over four innings. The first run allowed was unearned after a throwing error by Owen Spiwak behind the plate. Gutierrez struck out one but six of his nine outs in play were handled by the infield. Kelyn Jose shutout the Bucs over two innings despite two hits and a plunk, whiffing a couple of batters.
The Jays got the only home run in the contest as Edward Olivares went deep for a solo shot to tie the game at 1-1 in the second inning. Olivares was also hit by a pitch. Robert Lucido had a 2-for-2 day but that was all she wrote for the offence. Spiwak along with Cliff Brantley, Kalik May, Nash Knight, Levi Scott were a combined 0-for-15 as the first five hitters in the lineup. Miguel Almonte was also 0-for-3 while Andrew Florides went 0-for-2.

Vicuna and Francisco Rodriguez were both plunked with Rodriguez also adding a hit and a walk to get on base three times. Guzman,Antony Fuentes and Manuel Herazo had a hit and a walk apiece. Christian Peguero had a base hit but Jesus Navarro was 0-for-4.
Joel Espinal allowed a baserunner an inning over six frames, giving up just one run on five hits and a walk. The 18 year-old righty struck out six and had eight groundball outs out of the 15 he had in play. Orlando Pascual (1-0) pitched three shutout innings with only a hit and a walk as his only blemishes. He had one strikeout and four of his five outs in play were taken care of by the infield.
