No time to assemble a Scout report this weekend, but please feel free to refer to last week's Yankees Scout for more player-by-player info. I've thrown in a couple of links with this week's lineup and pitching outlook.

Enjoy the Insurrection!

* Here's the latest on Jason Giambi's very scary bout with an intestinal parasite.

* The New York Daily News has reported that the inability of the Yankees' farm system to pique the Diamondbacks' interest in a trade package of minor leaguers for Randy Johnson has, er, piqued Boss George such that scouting director Lin Garrett was demoted.

Bad time for Douglass to catch the Yankees. After two relatively embarrassing losses to Red Sox Nation, the pinstripes will be out to tattoo someone.

Rivera's on pace for a career-high 80 appearances this year. After a rough weekend, I'm imagining that Torre gives him a fair bit of rest for these games. Heredia's been hit hard, so Torre doesn't have a great left-handed option either.

Blue Jays motto for the series: deep into counts. Frank Menenchino has been doing a good job of that all season, so he'll probably get a fair bit of playing time.

Mick, that's a Yankee fan talking. I say, "kick 'em when they're down". If Douglass throws strikes and doesn't worry about the Yankee mystique, he'll be fine. Despite their record, the Yankees this season are far from a great ballclub. A good one, yes. A team that has the best shot of any to win a World Series, probably. But, definitely, playing over their heads.
