Rogers gave up five runs in six innings, four earned. Gage Stanifer came on to pitch the ninth. It started with a double on a middle, middle, fastball. That was followed by an RBI single and a walk. He settled down to get the three outs but 24 pitches in the ninth is not ideal. I see Stanifer in AAA to start 2027, he still needs time on his command.
Buffalo's only run in the first eight innings came from a home run by Yohendrick Pinango, his 9th in AAA. The Bisons were down 7-1 headed to the bottom of the ninth. In the ninth Peyton Williams doubled, his third hit of the game. Josh Rivera walked and Anthony Santander doubled in Buffalo's second run. Daz Cameron scored the third run with a sac fly.
In total the Bisons had eight hits, Williams had his three, Pinango had two as did Santander who went 2-4 with a walk. He was DH today and plans to play a full game in the OF tomorrow.
