The World Series is over and the off-season moves begin. Several players have opted out of contracts and some teams have started adjusting their 40 man rosters. With the lockout almost certain on December 1, many players will be anxious to get their 2027 team settled before the lockout begins.

Here are some of the key dates this off-season.

Oct 29: free agency starts but players cannot sign with a new team for five days

Nov 2: Free agents can sign with new teams. Teams or players who have options have to decide whether to opt in or opt out by this date. Also teams have to decide whether to offer qualifying offers to eligible free agents. Finally teams have to reinstate players on the 60 days IL and settle their 40 man rosters.

Nov 10-12: GM meetings in Las Vegas

Nov 17: Players with QO's have to decide whether to accept by this date. This is also the date to settle rosters for a rule 5 draft, if it happens.

Nov 17-19: Owners Meeting in New York. Expect a lot of tough talk from the commish and some owners.

Nov 20: Arbitration and non-tender deadline.

There are lots of December dates but they will likely not happen.

As usual there is no information out as to what the Blue Jays top priorities are. Rumours will begin soon with free agents meeting with teams.
