The minor league season ended with Buffalo getting blown out by Rochester. It looked good for a while, the Bisons led 5-1 after four innings. But they lost the next five by 14-3.

Rochester 15 Buffalo 8

Yohendrick Pinango did not want the season to end. He homered twice, following up on a home run yesterday. He drove in four runs. Peyton Williams also had a nice finish to the season, he picked up two more hits. Josh Rivera homered. Anthony Santander walked three times but did not play the whole game. He came out after eight innings.

Josh Winckowski started and did the best of the pitchers, three shutout innings. Josh Klein followed and he gave up a home run in the fourth and two more in the fifth. Daniel Guerra followed and he added a home run also in the fifth and then another home run in the sixth. Rochester hit two homers off Devereaux Harrison and another off Sam Gardner giving them eight home runs in the game.

Rochester did finish with 90 wins, 22 more than Buffalo.

This finishes the 2026 minor league season. It is hard for us to know who reads these every day but, whoever you are, we hope you enjoyed them. Big thank you to Niall and Ben for being part of the MLU team.

Yeah, thanks for the good work.
In the Frontier League, the Ottawa Titans have swept the first 2 playoff rounds behind their ace Eric Pardinho.
I think he's still got a chance in the big leagues.

Final stats

Asterisk = promoted
Double Asterisk = demoted

AAA

Age Appropriate

(3B Keys* (23): 226pa, 14.2b%, 20.4k%, .333bip, .303avg, .319iso, 171wrc+)
IF Harry (23): 242pa, 5.4b%, 17.4k%, .316bip, .277avg, .159iso, 104wrc+

Gangbusters year by Keys obviously. Harry slowed down but still a very nice year for him too.

Slightly Old for good prospect

(OF Bateman* (24): 359pa, 17.3b%, 18.7k%, .389bip, .311avg, .106iso, 124wrc+)
(3B McAdoo* (24): 385pa, 12.5b%, 22.3k%, .316bip, .269avg, .196iso, 122wrc+)
OF Pinango (24): 308pa, 11.4b%, 25.0k%, .332bip, .269avg, .187iso, 112wrc+
IF Goodwin (24): 112pa, 10.7b%, 22.3k%, .329bip, .258avg, .155iso, 109wrc+
OF Clase (24): 217pa, 12.9b%, 24.9k%, .281bip, .223avg, .136iso, 83wrc+

Nice years from Bateman and McAdoo but obviously what they're doing in MLB matters more.

Pinango finished hot to get his line solidly above average again. Nice year for Goodwin too.

Old for a good prospect

OF Schreck (25): 259pa, 18.1b%, 18.9k%, .248bip, .220avg, .176iso, 113wrc+
IF Kasevich (25): 572pa, 10.1b%, 11.4k%, .316bip, .282avg, .081iso, 101wrc+
UT Williams (25): 84pa, 6.0b%, 23.8k%, .339bip, .278avg, .152iso, 99wrc+
IF Rivera (25): 365pa, 8.8b%, 33.2k%, .295bip, .212avg, .164iso, 73wrc+

Too bad Schreck missed so much time but still a solid line, especially given the lack of babip luck.

Kasevich still not showing the improvement we're waiting for.

Williams a nice surprise to end the year at both AA and AAA - makes me wish we didn't waste so much time at lower levels for guys like this - at their age, move them up and see if they sink or swim.

Make it or break it

(UT Schneider* (27): 218pa, 26.1b%, 22.5k%, .245bip, .220avg, .240iso, 152wrc+)
OF Cameron (29): 131pa, 13.0b%, 21.4k%, .410bip, .327avg, .186iso, 147wrc+
OF Martin (30): 162pa, 13.0b%, 21.0k%, .354bip, .291avg, .149iso, 125wrc+
OF Santander (31): 21pa, 19.0b%, 19.0k%, .308bip, .235avg, .059iso, 97wrc+
C Simoneit (29): 189pa, 10.6b%, 30.7k%, .352bip, .247avg, .139iso, 93wrc+
OF Thomas (26): 245pa, 7.8b%, 9.8k%, .305bip, .283avg, .055iso, 80wrc+
C Stubbs (29): 182pa, 12.1b%, 36.8k%, .286bip, .201avg, .157iso, 79wrc+
C Ross (26): 194pa, 13.4b%, 38.7k%, .274bip, .167avg, .154iso, 65wrc+

I still think Schneider will be an above average MLB hitter for the most part. And hopefully Santander can be healthy again.

AA

Age Appropriate

OF Arias (22): 351pa, 6.0b%, 23.6k%, .274bip, .226avg, .153iso, 72wrc+
IF Toman (22): 88pa, 11.4b%, 25.0k%, .278bip, .208avg, .091iso, 68wrc+
IF Coffey (22): 373pa, 10.2b%, 33.2k%, .324bip, .214avg, .098iso, 66wrc+
C Duran (22): 51pa, 5.9b%, 21.6k%, .265bip, .227avg, .091iso, 64wrc+
IF Snow (22): 118pa, 8.5b%, 18.6k%, .262bip, .217avg, .094iso, 60wrc+

Rough times for this crew. Maybe they repeat this level maybe they spend some time back in A+.

Slightly Old for Level

(3B Keys* (23): 209pa, 13.4b%, 24.4k%, .327bip, .285avg, .297iso, 158wrc+)

OF Hernandez (23): 102pa, 8.8b%, 15.7k%, .405bip, .341avg, .110iso, 133wrc+
UT Gleed (23): 289pa, 9.7b%, 16.6k%, .321bip, .291avg, .201iso, 129wrc+
(OF Bateman* (23): 396pa, 15.4b%, 20.7k%, .339bip, .261avg, .046iso, 116wrc+)
C Parker (23): 350pa, 12.3b%, 32.3k%, .335bip, .253avg, .214iso, 115wrc+
OF Perez (23): 175pa, 13.7b%, 29.1k%, .301bip, .227avg, .193iso, 103wrc+
IF Pinto (23): 178pa, 14.0b%, 16.9k%, .288bip, .240avg, .147iso, 102wrc+
(OF Calabrese** (23): 261pa, 9.2b%, 19.5k%, .260bip, .221avg, .130iso, 76wrc+)
UT Freethy (23): 116pa, 9.5b%, 20.7k%, .247bip, .198avg, .059iso, 55wrc+

Mostly good stuff here.

Keys/Harry/Hernandez/Gleed/Bateman/Parker all good to excellent.

Pinto only average but was crushed by injury. I still believe in him.

Freethy seems beloved by the org for some reason.

Old for Level

OF Bohrofen (24): 197pa, 11.2b%, 34.0k%, .333bip, .253avg, .324iso, 140wrc+
(IF Goodwin* (24): 312pa, 12.8b%, 20.5k%, .306bip, .264avg, .218iso, 123wrc+)
C Planchart (24): 37pa, 16.2b%, 29.7k%, .421bip, .276avg, .000iso, 100wrc+
C Sharp (24): 28pa, 7.1b%, 25.0k%, .263bip, .192avg, .115iso, 48wrc+

Would be nice if Bohrofen ever got healthy.

Too Old for Level

(1B Williams* (25): 15pa, 20.0b%, 33.3k%, .400bip, .273avg, .455iso, 202wrc+)
(OF Martin* (30): 207pa, 16.4b%, 23.7k%, .336bip, .261avg, .145iso, 115wrc+)
OF Cunningham (25): 280pa, 11.8b%, 33.9k%, .351bip, .241avg, .203iso, 111wrc+
OF Vallee (25): 78pa, 9.0b%, 17.9k%, .393bip, .314avg, .043iso, 107wrc+
(IF Rivera* (25): 12pa, 0.0b%, 25.0k%, .250bip, .182avg, .000iso, 24wrc+)

A+

Very Young for Level

IF Parker (19): 97pa, 17.5b%, 18.6k%, .410bip, .316avg, .101iso, 140wrc+

Great year for Jojo. Looks like a legit top prospect. Could go straight to AA next year.

Young for Level

IF Southisene (20): 263pa, 13.7b%, 13.3k%, .369bip, .313avg, .070iso, 128wrc+
IF Pena (20): 159pa, 6.3b%, 8.8k%, .273bip, .252avg, .091iso, 79wrc+
IF Ramon (20): 58pa, 13.8b%, 22.4k%, .222bip, .167avg, .083iso, 54wrc+

Not a perfect profile for Southisene but an excellent year anyways. Could repeat, could be promoted.

Pena and Ramon both earned the callup. Should be back here next year.

Age Appropriate

OF Shaw (21): 96pa, 25.0b%, 21.9k%, .244bip, .239avg, .296iso, 153wrc+
C Sprock (21): 147pa, 14.3b%, 17.7k%, .315bip, .289avg, .231iso, 138wrc+
(UT DeLosSantos** (21): 22pa, 4.5b%, 18.2k%, .353bip, .286avg, .000iso, 65wrc+)
OF Joseph (21): 81pa, 8.6b%, 14.6k%, .153bip, .186avg, .229iso, 62wrc+

Sprock and Shaw both look very good. I imagine they'll be back here next year but maybe not for long.

Slightly Old for Level

(IF Toman* (22): 336pa, 14.9b%, 25.0k%, .352bip, .274avg, .175iso, 129wrc+)
C West (22): 97pa, 13.4b%, 13.4k%, .348bip, .309avg, .062iso, 114wrc+
(IF Snow* (22): 167pa, 10.2b%, 9.0k%, .318bip, .306avg, .116iso, 112wrc+)
IF Mitchell (22): 109pa, 11.0b%, 18.3k%, .279bip, .236avg, .124iso, 100wrc+
(C Duran* (22): 181pa, 4.4b%, 19.3k%, .278bip, .231avg, .101iso, 60wrc+)

Toman deserved the promotion.

Jaxson West put himself on the map this year - especially if he can stick at C.

Rough, rough year for Duran. Obviously the org still likes his glove but just a dreadful year at the plate, albeit injury plagued.

Old for Level

OF Calabrese (23): 72pa, 5.6b%, 12.5k%, .370bip, .348avg, .197iso, 143wrc+
(OF Hernandez* (23): 329pa, 10.9b%, 20.1k%, .322bip, .284avg, .229iso, 134wrc+)

(UT Gleed* (23): 202pa, 9.4b%, 20.3k%, .302bip, .269avg, .194iso, 112wrc+)
(UT Freethy* (23): 366pa, 15.6b%, 24.3k%, .319bip, .238avg, .117iso, 103wrc+)
IF Latta (23): 443pa, 14.4b%, 19.2k%, .290bip, .243avg, .120iso, 101wrc+
OF Chance (23): 103pa, 11.7b%, 10.7k%, .266bip, .236avg, .045iso, 69wrc+

Good year for Casey but i was hoping for more. His line looks good until you see no names like Calabrese and Smith matching him.

Too Old for Level

(UT Cunningham* (25): 223pa, 15.7b%, 31.4k%, .343bip, .250avg, .261iso, 135wrc+)

OF Viera (25): 69pa, 14.5b%, 31.9k%, .273bip, .193avg, .228iso, 100wrc+

meh.

A

Very Young for Level

IF Sanchez (18): 402pa, 8.2b%, 25.4k%, .276bip, .213avg, .129iso, 70wrc+

Promising start but a bad year overall - but not disastrous at his age.

Young for Level

(IF Parker* (19): 399pa, 15.8b%, 24.8k%, .329bip, .258avg, .212iso, 125wrc+)
OF Bullard (19): 477pa, 9.2b%, 27.3k%, .331bip, .245avg, .120iso, 85wrc+

Bullard really petered out to end the year. But also not a disaster and young enough that repeating the level is no biggie.

Age Appropriate

IF Martin (20): 64pa, 28.1b%, 18.8k%, .303bip, .222avg, .000iso, 114wrc+

OF Bonilla (20): 127pa, 9.4b%, 38.6k%, .393bip, .241avg, .107iso, 81wrc+

All good years here other than Bonilla.

Slightly Old for Level

IF DeLosSantos (21): 238pa, 14.3b%, 30.3k%, .368bip, .249avg, .104iso, 98wrc+
(OF Joseph* (21): 67pa, 11.9b%, 19.4k%, .348bip, .276avg, .052iso, 89wrc+)
IF Cooney (21): 90pa, 12.2b%, 23.3k%, .241bip, .200avg, .107iso, 69wrc+

Bennett looks like he can hit. Interesting enough line even with no D.

Old for Level

(C West* (22): 37pa, 5.4b%, 16.2k%, .500bip, .441avg, .147iso, 173wrc+)

OF Licourt (22): 194pa, 16.0b%, 44.3k%, .343bip, .194avg, .206iso, 92wrc+
UT Franden (22): 68pa, 8.8b%, 19.1k%, .234bip, .197avg, .131iso, 62wrc+

Too Old for Level

C Carapellotti (23): 85pa, 14.1b%, 29.4k%, .225bip, .222avg, .319iso, 123wrc+
(OF Smith* (23): 206pa, 15.5b%, 18.0k%, .256bip, .207avg, .061iso, 78wrc+)

Despite their ages, Lasaracina and Carepellotti hit enough to make them interesting if they can actually stay behind the plate.

Ben Clemens FG chat comment on Nimmala:

“This is really more of a question for the prospect guys than for me but his stock is clearly up, impressive performance in Double-A at 20. I am not sure he's their starting shortstop on opening day next year because Neto is awesome and I'm not sold on a move to third base being inevitable. But I think that he's clearly arrow up from what we thought of him at the deadline. Good trade for the Angels. Might be a win-win, I think Soriano is gonna play well in Toronto next year, but the Angels have 100% done well there.”
