Yeah, I know, no one wants to do Cheer Club because they're so depressed. Well, too bad!

I'll be at tonight's game, slightly late as usual. Saturday I have to work, and Sunday will be weather-dependant (if the weather's bad, I'll be at the game with some small cousins in tow). How about the rest of you?

I highly doubt I'll be at Sunday's game. I'll see what I can do for tonight, but that's still up in the air. I'd give it 50-50 odds right now.

Saturday I'll be at the Dome, but I'll likely be sitting somewhere else. If people are in the Cheer Club, I'll try to come by to say hello, and if the Drum is there, I might bring my small cousins along (who are better than your small cousins) as they'll probably be curious about the noise.

I don't think you want to pit your small cousins against my small cousins. Unless radically outnumbered, my small cousins can beat up your small cousins any day. ;)

I hope to attend tonights game, but that depends on how the day presents itself. If my schedule magicaly clears up I'm there. Give me a 50/50 for tonight. Saturday I work, but I think Sunday should be pretty safe. Now lets make up some ground against baltimore!!

NFH, so you're saying you measure a person by their ability to beat up another human being? I guess Stone Cold Steve Austin is better than Gandhi. Tsk....tsk.... :)

Well not "Clone High USA" Gandhi, that guy was awesome.

I'll be at tonight's game and probably Sunday's as well. Though tonight I'll probably be sitting in the 100s first-base side. I learned that if you get there early and park it in a decent seat the ushers don't query you. If that plan backfires I'll hike it up to 518. If it gets lonely in 518 by all means come on down and try to find me (though, I find lately they park an imposing figure at the access point and doesn't let the 500s down to the field level). COMN if you want to email me to get my cell number.

On Sunday we're probably gonna try to sit near the dogs. Not too near, though. Do you know what section that is?

2:1 odds on NFH's cousins beating the snot out of Thomas' cousins' wussie neo-Ghandi approach ;-)

NFH, so you're saying you measure a person by their ability to beat up another human being?

Is there another way to measure a person that I'm not currently aware of?

KT, the dogs were above the Jays bullpen last year, IIRC.

To be fair, we don't know what fighting ability Gandhi had as he never brought it out for public display. :)

Actually, my counsins decided that basketball is now a tackle sport and turned me into a one-armed shooter also taking relentless punches in the stomach. Anyhow, now I'm determined to have them beat up NFH's counsins, except they will never meet.

Because my cousins will swoop in with a couple of F-15s and a squadron of Tiger Tanks and mop up any ground resistance.

My cousin from Canada is gonna blow her wistle real loud and hope you all stop.

Oh yeah!

ANNOUNCER “He's a one-man wrecking crew”

Gandhi struts down the street at night with a gorgeous woman on each arm and paparazzi taking pictures.

ANNOUNCER “... but he also knows how to party”

Gandhi is at a fancy restaurant placing an order with the waiter.

GANDHI “Gimme a steak, medium-rare.”

A woman was depressed after she learned that Gandhi abused his wife and children until she decided to look at it another way. The next time she met a wife/child abuser, she thought "I wonder if he's a closet Gandhi?".

I wonder whose cousins are going on a salt march after the game. :)

Any signage for Baltimore NFH?
Named For Hank - Friday, August 13 2004 @ 01:33 PM EDT (#42560) #
No plans at this time. Got an idea?
_Jobu - Friday, August 13 2004 @ 01:37 PM EDT (#42561) #
Whats everyone in the mood for? A pro blue jay sign or an anti baltimore sign?

Maybe a generic banner sign like "The Cheer Club Are Still Here! GO JAYS GO!"

I thought we had some ideas in a thread from a few days back on how to welcome Gabe Gross.

I just shaved my head, and all my friends are telling me I look like Gandhi.

Which was certainly not the look I was aiming for.

I'm working the Baltimore series so I'll be in the press box. No cheering allowed. So make lots of noise for me, guys.

End the italics madness!!!

I'm one of that STATS game scorers.

And I really am not too good with the HTML, so when I screw it up, just Bite Me.

Can I do that in bold? Bite Me!

By George, I think I've got it.

This is sort of weird. I'm kind of watching the Opening Ceremonies, and it keeps breaking into the music from Platoon. I keep looking to see Willem Dafoe die...
_Jobu - Friday, August 13 2004 @ 04:49 PM EDT (#42572) #
Yeah, what is it with the Olypmics and odd musical choices.

Last time they played "Run Like Hell" over the closing ceremonies. I kept thinking Neo-Nazi's were going to come out and beat the crap out of the atheletes.

Now that I've finished my exams for another term and I'm back at home in Oshawa, it is time for me to come out to the Cheer Club. So I'm currently sitting on a GO train platform waiting for the train. That's two more cheerers, since both my girlfriend and I are going. See you there!
