That's never happened before.
And I'm running it in iTunes, too. Woo!
Cat bounced out
O-Dog struck out
Vernon singled
Hillenbrand grounded out.
Shannon Stewart beat a throw to first
missed who was at bat, Rios made a great shoetop catch
Bottom of the first, Stewart on first, one out, Mauer up.
bush - p
zaun - c

stewart is on, 1 away, no score.
Hinske's batting cleanup.
I'm out to grab lunch. Anyone want to take over until I'm back?
Wells strikes out on full count. No score after two and a half.
Announcers like Bush, the like his off-speed stuff.
Ground out to third. one out
And "Cuddyer" is the correct spelling.
1 out (didn't catch who), no one on in the 4th
Bartlet batting -- strike 3 called..
Swing and miss, strike 3...end of 4th innning
Thanks for the pbp, binnister.
Are you using the link that NFH posted or are you on MLB Audio?
Rois thrown out.
Meyers singles.
R. Adams up....
So, when to the page he mentioned (GameLive?) and went to the Baseball-MLB-AL-Minnisota page and choose the 3rd (or 4th?) station down.
Adams -- Fielders choice
Next Guy (didn't catch name) -- out at first
Score: 0-0
Bottom of 5th
They're called "genuine replicas" now, thank you very much.
that might only work in Windows Media Player. either way you likely have to open WMP, then go "open URL" and paste that in.
but it works. sorry to the Mac'ers
.....but then is caught stealing (in a run down).
1 out.
Thanks for the link, listening again.
Next Guy (Again, missed name..damned workmates) -- out at first, thanks to a throw from Hilly..
Inning over...
Cuddyer singles.
Nah, Gross has played a lot.
Hard hit ball skips to Hillenbrand, who throws out Stewart at first. Cuddyer moves to second, two out.
Chulk is warming up in the pen.
Mauer singles, Bartlett scores. Two nothing Twins. Morneau up. Hines pinch-runs for Mauer.
Pitching change.
Hey, Flex, how's your feed? Mine's skipping and buffering all over the place. Want to take over pbp until mine clears up?
But I'm happy to do pbp for a bit, if people don't mind my spelling.
This radio announcer is just full of excitement, isn't he?
"Swing and a miss. He struck him out. After 6, Twins 2, Blue Jays 0."
Wilner, on the other hand, would be like this:
"Swing and a miss! He struck him out! After 6, Twins 2, Blue Jays 0!"
Nothing puts the Epson Cowboy to shame. It was made better by that second ad, the Epson Lounge Singer? Or whatever that was supposed to be...
Ooh, and Gabe Gross is up! The Twins announcers are expressing disbelief that Gross may play in AAA to start the season.
I figured I would throw the Gross HR in there, since my feed is now like this:
"Strike three...How about Ichiro?.....579...the Mariners...iners..for Seattle...and you're one for 18...out to the ballgame!"
I love the internet.
Rain, folks. They called the game.
There's a monsoon in Ft. Myers now. I can hear loud, frantic squeaking in the background. Now they're on Break 20.
2-0 Twins
Called after 6 1/2 innings because of rain.
O well, no baseball, no class, no assignments. I might mosey on down to the Magic Dragon Cafe... If I only knew what that was.
DEEP VOICED MAN: Come to North Toronto's newest herbal smoking accessory shop, the Magic-gic-gic-gic Dragon-gon-gon-gon-gon-gon.
I don't know what that is eiter, but it sounds similar to "Admiral Mikey's Enchanted Shanty"
He does look a lot like Dr Evil though, w/ the bald head and the same nose.
A few drops fell, then a deluge, with winds over 50 miles per hour. From behind the press box glass, it looked like someone was spraying the window with a firehose. I couldn't even open the door to head for the elevator because the wind was holding it closed. Fort Myers had aluminum, pieces of rubble, roof tops and everything scattered everywhere as we drove through the streets.
I am on to Dunedin tomorrow for the Jays game vs. the Phillies tomorrow. Forecast calls for 79 and sunny which is a far cry from the 10" of snow falling at home right now - hope I can get home tomorrow night.
I am guessing Chacin is pitching tomorrow - which is awesome! I hope he does well.
I have taken some of my best photos ever down here, mostly of the Jays and their prospects at Jays Minor League Camp. If anyone is interested in getting any prints made up, please email me offline.
I met up with Alexis Rios, Gabe Gross and Russ Adams today and got some great shots - I also got some great shots of Dave Bush pitching, as well as ODog, Hinkse, Myers and Zaun, Hilly, Vernon, Cat and Chulk.
That's bad news, something I had dreaded the whole offseason. Torontonians wait until the last minute. I fear that we may be amongst 30,000 Red Sox fans. :(
Keith what section are you in? if you're anywhere from 530-540 or 501-513 and you're at the top, then for sure tickets are going fast.
I encourage everyone going to the game to invest in a good cowbell. I've got one myself and am arming the 10 people I'm bringing with thundersticks.
200-level outfield has lots of seats available, these are usually the last to go because you can't see the JumboTron, or whatever is going to be there now.
I'm with a group and I was originally going to wait until I got my Toronto Star Pass before getting the Home Opener tickets. Tomorrow is the day when Star Pass holders can get their opening day tickets. By then, the guy told me, it might be very difficult to get 5 seats together in the SkyDeck.
Still... I hear on the radio that if you buy a 'flex pack' you get a Home Opener ticket. I wonder how many of those "not availables" are just being held for Star Passes and flex pack buyers.
The Home Opener is essentially a big marketing tool for the ticket sellers, more power to them!
I hope it's mostly Blue Jays fans there, and I think that will probably be the case. Despite the last place finish and losing Delgado, the Jays have had a pretty upbeat offseason:
- signing Koskie
- John Gibbons in the media
- purchase of the SkyDome
- Ted Rogers bump of pay-roll
- stadium renovations
- Sports Illustrated cover
- promising spring training
- no steroid scandals
With no hockey, and with media outlets giving quite a bit of attention to the Jays, I think Toronto is getting used to the fact that they're not the Red Sox or Yankees, or even the Blue Jays of the early 90s, but they are a good group of players who could surprise some people this year. This city is ready for baseball. Let's hope the Jays get out of the gate strong.
No bullpen woes this year, baby. Don't fear the reliever.
