Josh Stephan had a rough second inning. Rochester hit three home runs in that inning leading to four runs total. Stephan did last 5.2 innings and gave up six runs. Ricky Tiedemann followed and recorded four outs with two K's. No baserunners. Daniel Guerra went one inning and he also gave up a home run.
Sean Keys stayed hot with a three hit game. His single drove in Buffalo's first run. Keys played first base, his outfield adventures have not started yet. All of Keys numbers in August are excellent including a .370 batting average. Josh Kasevich singled in the second run in the fifth. Finally, in the eighth Keys singled and scored on a Jay Harry sac fly. Yohendrick Pinango was the only other hitter with a multi hit game, a single and a double.
New Hampshire scored a run in the bottom of the eighth to break a 4-4 tie. Eric Snow and Mathieu Vallee had back to back doubles to score the run. Carter Cunningham had a nice game. He doubled in a run in the second and hit a solo home run in the fourth. Dub Gleed and Snow also had two hits each. Victor Arias was thrown out trying to steal a base in the second inning. He stayed in the game for the third inning but was substituted before the fourth inning.
Matt Olson went four innings and gave up four runs in four innings. Gage Stanifer was one of the relievers used. He threw two innings, one infield hit, one walk and four K's. That is two good relief appearances in a row after some not so good ones when he first went to the pen.
Vancouver were outhit 13-6. Austin Smith and Jojo Parker, two of the hitter hitters in the lineup, had two hits each. Both are hitting over .300.
Connor O'Halloran only gave up one run in 3.1 innings but he needed 67 pitches. Reece Fields gave up three runs to take the loss.
The D Jays had two more home runs, both solo shots. Aldo Gaxiola stayed hot with another HR, that's four straight games with a HR and 16 for the season. His August numbers are excellent, four straight games with a HR. He still strikes out a lot, and doesn't walk much, but he does have power. Giaconino Lasaracina also homered, his eighth in A ball and 14th overall. Dean West singled, doubled and walked twice. RJ Schreck went 0-3 in his first rehab game.
Karson Ligon started and continued to have trouble getting hitters out. He only lasted 1.1 innings with three runs allowed. Sann Omosako made his A ball debut with four shutout innings and seven K's. Sann had a high whiff count of 11. He had whiffs on four different pitches. His FB averaged 90.5 mph.
