Roy Halladay takes the ball against Tony Armas this afternoon. This is a rematch of last year's July 3 matchup in the Puerto Rican rain, won by Doc 2-0. That in turn was a rematch of a fine 2002 pitching duel here at the Dome, won by Armas 2-1. So if these guys stay true to form, don't expect a lot of offense.

And that was quick!

Speier has only given up 1 hit and no runs or walks in his 5 appearances in May. It looks like he might be back on track.

The Nats got whacked. There's no nicer way to put it.

For the second day in a row, it seemed as if everyone on the team was contributing to the win. Halladay, I think, has to be the Player of the Game for his clockwork performance on the mound - it was ENTER THE STRONGMEN time again as the game was over in 2:03.

But giving it to Halladay is absolutely harsh on the O-Dog, who had a triple, double, and an RBI single, scored two runs (both times after getting on base while leading off), and handled all his chances flawlessly. In fact, screw it. I'm giving my "vote" to the O-Dog.

I think Doc gives O-Dog a "vote" every time he goes out there.

It's a pretty good package, especialy considering the In The Action seats, but I really hope when Ernie shows up for dinner he's not in the same mood here in this photo for dinner, or it could be a long one.

Yep, I came home to discover I had been televised. How was my hair?

As Warren Zevon once said:

his hair was perfect

Of course, it always seems that way to me.

Keith, remind me at a time that isn't close to 6am and it shall be yours.
