After sadly missing out a fantastic Boston series, I've cleared my next two days of any responsibilities and will drag my baseball challenged girlfriend to Fridays game and my baseball gifted loser friend Rick to Saturdays game.

Who else is comming?
Thomas - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 01:04 AM EDT (#117849) #
I stumbled into good seats for today's game, but I will be there tomorrow and Saturday, unless the scenario repeats itself.
TorontoDan - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 01:06 AM EDT (#117850) #
We'll (VBF, myself, anyone else who wants to come down) be in the 100 outfield for tomorrow's game, but I'll be back up in 518 on saturday and most likely sunday (now that I know that's when Roy is pitching)
Anders - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 01:09 AM EDT (#117851) #
Im gonna be there on Saturday and, barring unfortunate injury, sunday.

I believe Alex will be tehre the first two days, although i cannot speak for him. As i reffered to in a previous thread, bring a musical instrument, to join our cowbell/horn orchestra.

I'm going tonight as part of a stag party... look for a group of crazies in red shirts in the 500s.

Tomorrow I'm hooked up with sweet tickets, so here's hoping for an open dome for some nice pics.
Sister - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 11:58 AM EDT (#117871) #
I'm flying in from Halifax and would like to catch either the Saturday or Sunday game. Hopefully a few of you will be up in section 518.
Thomas - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 12:24 PM EDT (#117878) #
Well, I'll try to see VBF, TorontoDan and anyone else down there.

The cowbells will be able to work their magic even on the mighty Santana.
Paul D - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 12:52 PM EDT (#117882) #
I assume everyone is welcome?

I might come Sat and bring my gf. And maybe a few loud friends, if I can convince them to go. No cowbells though.
Magpie - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 01:22 PM EDT (#117887) #
I'll be in the house but I'm working. No cheering allowed. You have to make some noise for me.

I will wave...

Rob - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 02:06 PM EDT (#117896) #
I shall be in attendance at Saturday's game.

David Bush again, eh? Let's hope the Jays get at least one run before the ninth this time. Oh, and we need a 'Magpie' chant that can be heard in the pressbox.

Maaaaaaaaaaagpiiiiiiiiiiiiiie, Maaaaaaaaaaaaagpiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie, heckling style.

Section 141 is the place, Vernon Wells Fan club is the name.

Don't worry about your tickets, my master plan welcomes all. I'll be there as soon as the gates open. A sign today is looking grim unless I can piece one together on the Mississauga Transit bus.

I'm off to the game!
mathesond - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 05:03 PM EDT (#117924) #
I'll be there Saturday. I have gift certificates to use, so I'll probably be in the $40 seats - sec. 129 is what I'm hoping for
Named For Hank - Friday, May 27 2005 @ 07:10 PM EDT (#117937) #
0-2 on Shannon Stewart in the first inning and I can hear the cowbell as clear as day on the Sportsnet broadcast. Good work, gentlemen.
TorontoDan - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 01:02 AM EDT (#117945) #
The game was terrible, we only had 3 people (VBF, myself and Alex Obal).....but the cowbell (watching the Jays game in an hour now) was clear as day, as NFH said. Obviously we didn't have many chances to use it, because of the lack of hits, and when you're losing like that, 2 strike claps just aren't as fun. I wonder if the bell is more noticeable when we sit down in the 100 outfield.. Also, VBF and I did our best Macgyver impression as we created an Aaron Hill Fanclub sign, before the game in our seats.
Thomas - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 01:05 AM EDT (#117946) #
From my 8th row seats on the first-base side (hence why I didn't show up) your cowbell was very noticable when it was used. However, it was a lifeless game to begin with, so you couldn't do much once Towers had his terrible start.

"And already, after a week in the majors, he's developed a fan club."

TorontoDan - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 02:11 AM EDT (#117948) #
Oh god... (I'm the guy in the middle who seems to have downs syndrome. What could I have been looking at? We sure look like an unhappy bunch)

Well, that sign certainly looks good for a 10 minute job. Kudos to VBF (on the right, alex is on the left)
Named For Hank - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 02:45 AM EDT (#117949) #
Yeah, it's not very flattering, but I only had about three seconds to choose from. I think you're yawning.

If you want the DVD as a memento of your seconds on TV, let me know. Otherwise that game is going to be a coaster.
TorontoDan - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 02:57 AM EDT (#117950) #
No, it's fine. Thanks for uploading the picture...I would never have known we were on. Hopefully this sudden fame will in turn get more people out the games. :)

Jobu - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 03:14 AM EDT (#117951) #
I knew today wasn't going to be a good game when the impossible happened. I arrived in 518, loser friends in tow, section partialy deserted, when an usher came up and actually asked to see our tickets and then told us we couldn't stay there (we actually got tickets for 527). First time that's ever happened to me, I kid you not.

Anyways, aside from crusty old Rob, who can I expect to see in 518 tomorrow (today)?
Named For Hank - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 03:31 AM EDT (#117952) #
Ask for 518 when you present your pass. They always give it to me.
VBF - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 11:03 AM EDT (#117957) #
I guess you can tell what the score was from that picture :(

I'll be there Sunday. This is the last Saturday game I will miss though--no more weekend work for me.
VBF - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 12:34 PM EDT (#117959) #
Hey yea, the sign looks alright.

Not bad for a sign that was constructed on two Mississauga Transit buses, two crowded subways, and 10 minutes of BP.

Since I'm not making the game today, I'm dedicating this afternoon to make some better quality signs which can be re-used.
Keith Talent - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 02:58 PM EDT (#117969) #
Jobu, that was you? I was sitting on the aisle directly in front of where you 3 had walked. I was thinking "who's that guy with those losers?"

I thought I was going completely solo in 518.

The cowbell was really loud from there. Around the 4th inning, about the time the Aaron Hill Fanclub was scratching and yawning on national TV, I moved down to 100 level and nobody cared.

I think that usher lady asked to see your tickets because you guys looked like you were going to sit over in 517 or beyond, you guys looked determined to get near the Wall of Excellence, 518 was the outer edge of the upper deck last night.

The highlight of the night for me was Brad Arnsberg going to talk to Towers after he game was out of hand, and Towers laughing at what Brad had to say. I guess Arnsberg just said "go eat some innings for us!" And he did!
VBF - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 09:55 PM EDT (#117981) #
So, who's going to the Sunday game? I just finished this absolutely HUGE "AARON HILL FAN CLUB SIGN" the third, and hopefully the last one. Hopfully I can get it laminated or something to maintain it.

It's about 15-18 seats long and about 2 feet in width. I plan to hang it on the 500 level facing. Yes, everybody in section 518 tomorrow will be a part of the Aaron Hill Fan Club whether they want to or not. :)
VBF - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 09:56 PM EDT (#117982) #
I'm actually getting it there via Van. It would be near impossible to take this thing on a Go Bus.
TorontoDan - Saturday, May 28 2005 @ 10:09 PM EDT (#117983) #
Sorry, I couldn't make it today. Something came up for work that I had to finish today. That ninth inning surge of hope must have been hard to come down from :(
Thomas - Sunday, May 29 2005 @ 12:49 AM EDT (#117988) #
I will miss tomorrow's game to attend a wedding, unfortunately missing the debut of the sign.

We had a solid five today and our rally caps scored two runs, so we can't fault them for not scoring three.
Mike D - Monday, May 30 2005 @ 09:47 AM EDT (#118078) #
As one of the fortunate souls to have witnessed Doc's masterpiece live, I doff my cap to the cowbell crew. Fine work, gentlemen; you had the whole Rogers Centre going by the ninth.
