Milwaukee heads into town, just like in the goold old days before they switched leagues.

Alan Schwarz is coming to Toronto Saturday and tonight sees the newly-married (and hopefully not exhausted) Gustavo Chacin face an ex-Jay Doug Davis. And who knows what this mysterious announcement is JP speaks of?

He traded Hinske, Matt Whiteside, and the ghost of Jim Acker to the Brewers for Ben Sheets and Carlos Lee? :)

I'll be at Saturday and Sunday's games in the cheap seats. Where are we all meeting up?

I will meet you at Gate 3 around 6:30pm.

I'm not sure where to put this (sorry for the hijack) but it was a pretty interesting read, especially after the Esix Snead debacle.

An article in the Wall Street Journal discusses how sports fines are often reduced or removed or sometimes even paid back with interest.

I'll be in 500s Friday and Saturday. I'll meet in 518 and we can go or stay from there. The lineup of cowbells to follow.

Man, this is gonna be just like the old days.

I should be there Saturday, and possibly Sunday.

Let's give Doc some noisy support as he faces Ben Sheets in the marquee matchup of the series.

People? Going to the RC? What madness is this?

I'll be there on saturday in el cheapo's, and then probably friday in a location yet to be determined.

Unless JP's announcement is too much. Then I dont know what I'll do.

Sorry to hijack, but fwiw, Jays fans at the bluejays.com Fan Forum (I know, I know) are having a discussion with "The Heckler" from Tampa Bay. I really don't have alot of respect for the guy, but I just thought I'd pass this on.

Anders, can you handle being on the Jumbotron again? What if that's too much? What will you do? The Jays don't want a heart attack victim on their hands.

I'll be making a very special guest appearance at tonight's game. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with some of you Bauxites I haven't met yet.

Hey Anders, at least the Jumbotron didn't lick its finger, and jam it in your ear. :)

According to the Star, JP has shot down rumours of Shea going anywhere this season, while author Mike Rutsey hints that Hinske and the O-Dog may be on the block. The article can be found here.

A couple of snippets from the article:

"One of the guys not going anywhere -- despite the rumours coming from Boston -- is Shea Hillenbrand. Ricciardi loves everything about him and isn't willing to let him go."

"Pretty much all the rest, with the exception of Alex Rios, Russ Adams, Aaron Hill and, of course, Roy Halladay, are open for discussion."

Moffatt, is this one of those overhyped guest appearances where you get billed for weeks leading up to the event and actually appear for two minutes at the end with very little substance to your lines?

The longer and harder I think about it, despite the fact that I really like ODog, and think he'll have at least a couple of really good years at the plate.....I have to think that Hinske and Hudson are gone for sure this year, along with at least one of Cat/Reed.

Look for the Aaron Hill fanclub sign tonight, and that's where we'll be. I'll be at tonight's game, tomorrow's game, and maybe sunday's game. Now that I've been spoiled by sitting in 524b, I'm not sure I'll be able to resist sitting behind home plate for the amazing pitching matchup on saturday. Hopefully Obal and I will appear on the jumbotron again for no good reason.

Jim Acker is dead? That *is* news.

Yeah, see, the problem is that he writes them himself.

We had one of our best turnouts of the season tonight(Moffatt was there), and it was a great game to see live. Watching Menechino hit 2 home runs is priceless. My throat is killing me, but I'll be back tomorrow at 5:05 (yes, tomorrow's game is not a 4 pm start) it'd be great to have another big showing in 518.

Let's hope our drunk little friend doesn't have another 'reunion' with us today.

He was so drunk, it could be mistaken for pretending that he was drunk.

I like watching Hudson play. His defense is unparalled at second. But he's the second coming of Pokey Reese. A nice guy to have in a supporting role at a cheap price.....but certainly not a cornerstone or someone to sign a long term contract to.

Anybody catch Tracy Ringolsby's latest efforts, in which he examines GMs all over MLB? He really tears a gratuitous strip off Ricciardi.
