For the most part, pitching looks like a normal, fluid, graceful motion while you're watching it. But when you freeze it, it looks very odd. For example, here's the tail end of a Jason Frasor pitch:

In the back of Ball Four there's a picture of a young Jim Bouton which looks extremely similar. I think it's quite graceful, like the end of a pirouette.

Jason looks like he's practicing up for a run at figure skating.
