Even more amazing is the 8H that Carnline has allowed in 22IP.

What does Carnline throw/how hard does he throw?

In BA's draft review last season they mention Carnline in the best fastball category behind Robert Ray.  BA said Carnline could get it up to 94.  Lansing Lugnut fan says Carnline is around 92 with a slider and change.  Remember that location and deeception are as important as speed.

Lugnut Fan - does Carnline have anything unusual in his delivery?

New Hampshire played this afternoon and lost again, the hitters managed only 4 hits.

Dunedin are winning and new call up Anthony Hatch is 2-3.

Lansing are in extras.

Gerry,

No, he doesn't have anything unusual in his delivery, or his arm angle.  He just throws his fastball, slider and change up.  I'm kind of hesitant to talk much about his change up because he really doesn't throw it.  His slider is pretty sharp and he gets quite a few K's on it.  I didn't get a chance to see his start on Tuesday, but according to the Lansing State Journal, he said that he only threw about five sliders and five change ups, so his start on Tuesday was he stuck mostly with the fastball.

I would imagine that as the weather gets warmer, Billy will add a few MPH on his fastball and probably get it up to 94 or 95.  Of course, I don't think that he will be here in Lansing much longer.
