Frank Catalanotto had another great night at the plate on Wednesday.  What else is there to do but to make him the photo of the day?

Here's the Cat in mid-swing -- does it look like he's checking it?  I don't know enough about the mechanics of a swing to tell you for sure.

In yesterday's photo thread I asked for your help -- I still need it.  Go check it out.

This is depressing and getting more and more annoying. Gregg Zaun isn't playing regularly and is depriving POTD of his presence. While he has only 119 at bats this season, Molina has 193, and went 3 for 3 with a walk tonight.

Molina has been maddeningly lacklustre at times, and then comes up with great games with the bat, albeit with poor running.

I searched for Zaun's POTD spots to see how much he ought to be missed.

And I urge you to pick up last year's campaign and put in a vote for him in All-Star balloting before it closes. Why? primarily because he's Gregg Zaun and he kicks so much ass, and because Gregg Zaun's chief export is attitude.

This is all I have to say on the matter:
