I'm a little slow on this one -- the bad news has been out for a while that Pete Walker's season, and possibly his career, are over.  Here's hopin' rehab goes well, Pete!

I feel bad for Walker, who may have destroyed his shoulder trying to keep his mlb job. His four years in Toronto, where he missed 2004, come out to 308.6 innings, 320 hits, 148 earned runs, 198 K, 121 BB, ERA of 4.32. Those are extremely average numbers, which is why he was very valuable to the Jays at times. Reliable average pitchers are a hard thing to find and keep. I've kinda' liked the guy, and thought he got a lot of grief from some that was undeserved. A pitcher like Walker in the pen is a good thing, as long as he's the 5-7th guy. He wasn't the same this year, as it turned out for a very unfortunate reason. I hope he gets better, and if he can't make it back to the majors, best of luck to him.
