With just one more day until September it's time for a discussion of whom the Jays will be bringing to Toronto from the farm. Lind, Thigpen, Barker? I think we've got enough youth in the pitchign staff to forego anymore. Though I imagine Josh Towers will be back in town. Adding some of these players will necessitate some moves to the 40 man roster - probably including moving Pete Walker to the 60-day DL, and possibly letting JF Griffin go.

Thoughts?

I don't think you'll see Thigpen.  He was just moved up from AA a short while ago, and the Blue Jays already have 3 catchers on the roster.    I don't really see the point in bringing up Barker.  Lind is a possibility if they think they can use him, but he's only had a month or so in AAA.  He is hitting up at storm at Syracuse, but the thing is the normal lineup vs RHP now has Rios and Johnson in the corner OF positions and Catalanotto at DH, so Lind doesn't really fit.  I would think Towers will be up and I wouldn't be surprised to see Rosario, possibly one of McGowan/Janssen/Taubenheim.  Since McGowan is out of options at year end, they might want to have another look at him.

They currently have 38 on the 40 man roster, so there is room to add Lind and Towers without a move.  The others I mentioned are already on.

Adam Lind is 4-4 tonight with a sac fly.  In the ninth inning, with a runner on, Scranton brought in the lefty, Matt White, to face Lind.  Lind homered to right on the second pitch.
