Boston has Manny, the Yankees have Rodriguez and the Jays have Manny Rodriguez who went 6-6 for Auburn, but it took a 2 run single from Leance Soto in the eleventh for Auburn to win.  Scott Campbell hit a two run home run in the eighth to power Lansing to the win.  Kevin Ahrens did well too as the bottom four teams each won.

Pawtucket 6  Syracuse 5

This game was tied at 3 after 5 innings.  JP would like to dream about the first inning, Russ Adams singled and Adam Lind doubled him home.  Ty Taubenheim started and pitched five innings, he gave up six hits and four walks leading to the three runs.  Jim Crowell and Scott Sauerbeck gave up three more runs in the sixth.  The Chiefs got a two run home run from Rey Olmedo in the seventh but no Chief got on base after the home run.  Olmedo and Adams had two hits each.

New Hampshire 2  Trenton 6

Trenton are leading the division thanks to their pitching.  In this series the Cats have faced Ian Kennedy, Philip Hughes and in this game Joba Chamberlain who shut the Cats out over seven innings.  John Schneider hit a two run home run off the Trenton bullpen.  Eric Fowler started and gave up all six runs through two three run home runs.

Vero Beach 7  Dunedin 9

Dunedin scored twice in the first and built a big lead, Vero Beach scored four runs in the seventh to make it look closer.  Dunedin used nine hits and eight walks to generate their nine runs.  Carlo Cota, Eric Nielsen, Jacob Butler and Al Quintana each had two hits.  Russell Savickas gave up three runs and Aaron Tressler four.

Wisconsin 3  Lansing 4

This game was tied at 2 after seven innings.  Scott Campbell had doubled in a run in the second and Jon Baksh singled in a run in the seventh.  Ted Serro gave up a run in the eighth but in the bottom of the eighth Campbell hit a two run home run to seal the win.  Campbell and Shoffit each had two hits.  Kyle Ginley pitched well, two runs allowed in five innings.

Auburn 10  Lowell 9 - 11 innings

Auburn had 17 hits, three players had 13 of them.  Manny Rodriguez went 6-6 and drove in three runs, Leance Soto went 4-6 (and is still hitting under .200) and drove in two runs in the eleventh to provide the winning margin.  Darin Mastroianni went 3-5 and drove in 2.

Braves 1  Gulf Coast Blue Jays 3

Great pitching led the Jays to victory, James Dougher started and gave up two hits in five innings.  Dougher's ERA is 1.29 and he could be first in line if Auburn need a pitcher.  Jason Monti pitched three hitless, walk-free innings.  Kevin Ahrens had a good day, he singled in the Jays first run, he singled and scored the Jays second run and his ground out drove in the Jays third run.  Ahrens and Yohermyn Chavez each had two hits.

Kyle Yates pitched very well, but it ended up taking a 2 run shot by David Smith in the 11th inning for the Fisher Cats to win today.

I could be wrong, but it seems that NH has had a lot of game winning HRs, or big come from behind rallies this year.

You are right Pistol.  Kevin Gray talks about it today, the Fisher Cats have only had five quality starts the last month but are still in second place.  Timely hitting and good relief pitching have helped them win games.  Kurt Isenberg, Eric Fowler, Kyle Yates, Ismael Ramirez, Russell Savickas and, to a lesser extent, Ricky Romero have struggled.
