A 3-4 night in the minors.

Syracuse 7 at Pawtucket 9

The Chiefs managed 11 hits on the night. Kevin Barker went 2-2 with 3 walks, JGF was 3-4 with 4 RBIs and Lind and Vento each had two hits. Jamie Vermilyea got the start and gave up 5 in 4 innings including 3 HRs.

New Britian 2 at New Hampshire 0

NH managed just 6 hits on the night and those were just to 3 hitters - Majewski, Mathews, and Cosby. Both of Cosby's hits were doubles. Iriki started for the Fisher Cats and pitched 7 solid innings giving up 2 runs (1 unearned).

Dunedin 9 at Fort Myers 3

Adrian Martin continues to pitch great in Dunedin. His first outing was a tough one (3 runs in 1.2 innings). Since then, in his last 9 appearances he's given up 5 runs in 31.2 innings with 30 Ks and *0* walks. He's only given up 1 run in Florida so far. Martin has seemingly come out of nowhere. He was a 19th round pick and had modest success in Lansing last year splitting time between starting and relieving.

Leading the D-Jay offense was Eric Nielsen who was 3-3 with a walk and Kyle Phillips who was 3-4 on the night.

Lansing 3 at South Bend 2 (game 1, 8 innings)
Lansing 5 at South Bend 6 (game 2)

Liuzza homered in game 1 and Pettway homered in both games. Godfrey had a solid start in game 1. Ginley had a mixed start in game 2.

Auburn 2 at Mahoning Valley 7

Chi-Hung Cheng got moved up to Auburn and had a decent outing giving up 2 runs over 4 innings. He struck out 4 and walked 2.

GCL Jays 6 at GLC Phillies 4

Yo Chavez was the standout in this game with 2 doubles, a triple, and a single in 5 ABs. Jon Talley had 3 hits. Marcus Walden pitched 5 scoreless innings walking none but striking out just one.

Yohermyn Chavez homered and doubled in today's game.  The organization might consider a promotion to Auburn.  This is a second season for him in Rookie League, and he has shown that he has mastered it.

I imagine at this point there's not enough season left to promote players.

It's possible that Chavez might make his way to Lansing to start the year.

I was thinking more about the playoffs.  Auburn is on track and the GCL Jays are out of them.  The late promotion to bolster a playoff contender has been known to happen.
